Watching that scratchy youtube, I thought YuNa needs lessons in how to waltz. I was totally surprised that she could not bubble in champagne which that music calls for. Die Fledermaus is grand gala and while Jenny could grasp the waltz music she couldn't keep up with the tech. The reverse, for me is Yu Na.
YuNa has plenty of tricks to display, I hope she doesn't waste them by ignoring the criteria of the music and to give her own interpretation. I just don't see her in the program.
Let's hope the LP is better understood.

Waaaww for Yu-Na.Also why are her PCS too low, yeah higher then the others here but too low for her. Zhang's are also lower then I might expect.

I just watched YuNa's SP thanks for the link. I know I am in the minority here
but I thought it was just o.k., maybe it will grow on me. I like Mao and Caroline Z's SP better.
I don't think Yu-na's PCS are low at all... She's got something like 4 points higher than Zhang.. And I think the combo did detract a little.
Yeah but they were almost 4 points lower then she had at Worlds (translating to almost a full point per PC mark lower). Granted I know this was nowhere near as good as her Worlds short, but I still thought they were lower then expected.
Oh Please, if you have a link for them, provide it? I'm madly searching for it on youtube and nadda....my heavens, I feel so silly for not finding them.
We will disagree and agree to, but I will try to answer your questions:Did you think Jenny was bubbly?? Because at national, I thought she was anything but bubbly, I just want to know what part of her performance was particularly waltzy which Yuna lacked. I agree that Yuna's program was very waltzy, but I sure believe the choreagraphy goes very well with the music.
We will disagree and agree to, but I will try to answer your questions:
Yes! Jenny's trademark skating comes from the Boston Ballet and she has much of that musical instinct in her. I think her last Nationals was a bit of a damper for her due to her mother's death. The tempo of the music is ONE,two, three, ONE,two, three. YuNa did not show me that. She did show me determination to make her tricks. I have seen many DieFledermauses (or mice?) and to be just passable the choreography must be upbeat as the music is. A performer must then bring it over the bubbly top I just did not see that in YuNa's choreography.
Let me say again, I am hoping the LP will put her in contention for a gold medal.

I see what you mean, I guess most of us were expecting something more. It was not bad, just nothing special. That layback was ugly!
She clearly looked like she made a mistake on her flip which messed up the landing on the toe.
Did anyone see Bebe? what happen?
