You're baiting me with Kwan aren't you? I'm not going to even go there.

Shcherbakova has more speed throughout. Miyahara seems to constantly need to be using her pick to accelerate as she loses momentum. Shcherbakova is the only one who effortlessly floats across the ice. She maintains momentum better and indeed showed superior edges in the SP as well, holding them with greater control without losing momentum.

Initially I had thought that Miyahara was better but watching again, Shcherbakova indeed is better than even her.
:laugh2:

Next week her SS will be better than Patrick Chan's right? ;) I am glad you love a skater this much. I would suggest a bit less bias, but you do you!

Give me your analysis and video clips to support them.

Either that, or stop with the strawmen.

And try a better argument than "bias". That's ad hominem.

She only planned to do the 2A. But then she stepped out of her 3Lz and missed the combo.

Did she really plan to only do the double though? She was doing the triple axel in practice, it was said that she was falling on it this morning so it would seem they aborted the triple but she seemed to be wanting to go for the triple

She also did her 2A in practice today too. They wanted to go for a clean skate..

well her new mentor is exactly that. She needs a rebound tomorrow or else the RusFed will drop her hot potato next season
Alena, Kamila are waiting
Yeah, Trusova is a good jumper. But this isnt enough. Consistency is more important. Other ladies without quads make it big because of consistency and good pcs.

I really though Trusova was a sure thing for Olympics. Now, I think she has established to the RusFed that she isnt consistent and stumbles on pressure. Going to the Olympics - you need not only skills but also the reputation. That is why this Worlds is crucial for Anna and Trusova. If Trusova doesnt win this, she has nothing to offer other than her hit or miss performances.

Anna and Valieva seems to be a sure thing. Unless something drastic happens, i.e. injury, sickness, retirements etc.

RusFed might be looking at Alina, Evgenia, Liza, Aliona, Daria, Maya, in place of Trusova.

Aliona have to regain her form. We dont know if she will. Daria and Maya doesnt have the international reputation yet and RusFed might not want to gamble when you have a long list of army with good international reputation.

Alina, Evgenia, Liza were all former champions. Alina is not in shape because she is in retirement. Zhenya is now recovering and her recent performances were spectacular. Liza is in great form.

I think Liza and Zhenya has a good chance of making it to the Olympics. Zhenya looks like a more bankable choice as she has very good pcs internationally. Liza is a hit or miss as she depends on her 3A.

The Olympics looks very exciting. One thing is for sure, Russia will win. As to who will do that for Russia, God only knows. hahahaha

Zhenya hasn‘t competed in a year and she‘s chronically injured. And Liza’s gaining both consistency AND reputation. She’s my favorite but she needs to recover first and get back in at least the shape she was in in 2019-20 to even have a shot. I don’t doubt her willpower but it will be entirely dependent on whether her health allows her to compete and train at such a level. So, overall right now, Liza‘s solidly and easily a tier above her.

Very simple. Take any Anna performance, watch her do a crossover. ( I really hate her crossovers) If you can find a fancam from the arena this week it will be even more clear. See how her whole body moves and not just her knees like Kolyada or many Japanese skaters. See how the speed doesn't immediately build from one push. Then, check her StepSeqs and see how she struggles to make those turns. Those aren't the hallmarks of good skating skills. But, you will hold your opinion regardless of the evidence presented and that's your right. Anna seems to be lovely and has lots of great qualities as a person and a skater. She deserves fans and I think you are 💯 percent her most devoted fan. But, I don't think you are willing to see her skating for what it really is...which like all skaters is a mixture of strengths and weaknesses.

Believe me, I‘d probably die of joy if Med were to make it but she needs to recover first and get back in at least the shape she was in in 2019-20. I‘m rooting for her more than for anybody else but right now, Liza‘s solidly and easily a tier above her.
I would also die of joy if Evgenia were to make it. I actually think I'd die of joy of Evgenia competed at all and did reasonably well next year. I would actually perish if she got one international event - like a GP - and did well. I would be sooo happy.

Yeah Liza, has improved a lot. I am also rooting for Zhenya and wish her good health. I think she'll be healthy for the Olympics season. Her profile picture on IG says a lot. She's still eyeing that gold for the Olympics. And I think she still has the chance.

Yeah, sorry, that was unnecessarily dramatic. But it gets the point across, I think. She‘s my favorite skater and I think she has lots to give to the sport, even if it isn‘t on the World/Olympic stage as this is just extremely unlikely at this point. So, I hope she manages to recover and comes back.

Oh I was being dramatic too. I would like to at least see her retire on her own terms. With one last clean skate where she's happy with what she did on the ice. I still think it could be internationally if she can get one GP event - I would like that for her.

EDIT: Selfishly I would like it for me too.

Yeah, real struggle.

Here:

Since she's such a poor skater, it'll be no problem at all for you to find me a sequence with better control of the edges than this, right? Waiting.
