Why on earth would they limit their chances to sweep the podium? Liza, Daria and Maiia are not better than Sasha or Aliona.I wonder is it possible having even the slightest probability those two great insurgents (AK & AT) were welcomed home [in one piece] on condition: there is no Olympics bid?
Skate and compete for Chrystal Dome as long as you want but don't even dream about Olympics....

LOL. That’s a very bizarre condition to make for an athlete that you’re coaching. It will immediately kill any motivation in an athlete you’re taking, and probably make them waste a season. I don’t think Eteri can promise any of them that they’re 100% making it to the Olympics, but I think she’ll do the best she can for each of them to show their best performances.I wonder is it possible having even the slightest probability those two great insurgents (AK & AT) were welcomed home [in one piece] on condition: there is no Olympics bid?

no, thats ridiculous. what kind of trade off is that? what would be the point of even returning?I wonder is it possible having even the slightest probability those two great insurgents (AK & AT) were welcomed home [in one piece] on condition: there is no Olympics bid?

Promise to be fit for Worlds, Europes, GP. Pluschenko isn't a coach of choice yet. Others also not there.no, thats ridiculous. what kind of trade off is that? what would be the point of even returning?

Both Kostornaya and Trusova may run for WC-22. With Tuktamisheva, may be...

Both were lacking just "a little bit".And Kostornaia with weak technical content was extremely to Tuktamysheva's cup final score, had she been a little bit better then she might have been considered more closely for worlds.
to be fair, everyone was lacking a little bit one way or another this year. if this were any other season they wouldn't have struggled the way they did. there were a lot of factors that affected everyone. that's not to say they wouldn't have struggled at all, just not as badly as this season and things could have turned out differently. Both were lacking just "a little bit".
Trusova could win WC landing one triple (not quad!) more in the SP and Kostornaya buried herself with all those in-outs...
Maria Talalaikina!Waiting for the start of the next season, assignments for the JGP and GP, etc. I made the following exercise.
Who do you think will make up the list of 18 skaters for the Senior Ladies National Championship?
My list of possible participants, depending on the results obtained in the different national and international competitions (If Trudeau decides open the Canadian borders), injuries, etc.
Age eligible (>14 years old):
Sofia Akatyeva
Sofia Samodelkina
Sofia Muravyova
Adeliya Petrosyan
Elizaveta Osokina
Elizaveta Berestovskaya*
(Possible National Team members):
Anna Shcherbakova
Kamila Valieva
Alexandra Trusova
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva
Alëna Kostornaia
Daria Usachëva
Other possible participants:
Maia Khromikh
Evgenia Medvedeva**
Elizaveta Nugumanova
Anastasiya Gulyakova
Sofia Samodurova
Ksenia Tsibinova
Anna Frolova
There are only 18 spots. So, Who else do you think will get a spot for this event?
* She was born on December 7, 2007. Is she age eligible?
** If she decides to compete.
You also forgot Talalaikina. Doesn't anyone believe in her?If we are guseeiing Rus Nats spots here is my prediction:
Qualifies throough competing at Gp events:
Kamilla V
Sasha T
Anna S
Aliona K
Dasha U
Liza T
Maiia K
one or two more of Zenya, Liza N, Sofia S, Nastya G
Qualifies through making the JGPF:
Sofia A
Sofia S
Liza B
Adelya P
Sofia M
That leaves 5 spots for Russian Cup and here anything can happen and we also know RusFed sometimes subs in whoever they feel like:
5 out of the following (where 1-2 might qualify through GP spot)
Liza N
Sofia S
Nastya Guliakova
Natsya T
Nastya Gubanova
Anna F
Ksenia T
Ksenia S
Edit: I know Ive left Medvedeva out of this but with everything thats been going on with her the last couple of years I just dont think she will return to competition. What I think she should do is join Tsurskaya in coaching the younger group. With her personality (which seems verry similair to Eteri) and her time in canada I think she could be a real asset to the team.
And what about Stasya Konstantinova? I hope she can find her form again with coach Vika Butsaeva next season and perform to the best of her abilities! If we are guseeiing Rus Nats spots here is my prediction:

Yes Konstantinova might rebound, and we shouldn't rule out Shulskaya and Sakhanovich just yet. Or Sultanmagomedova and Molchanova. And what about Stasya Konstantinova? I hope she can find her form again with coach Vika Butsaeva next season and perform to the best of her abilities!![]()
i think all of these girls would have to win everything they enter the entire season straight for them to be a contender in RusFed's eyes. none of them would be taken seriously unless they were beating most of 3A, Kamila, Daria, Maiia and Liza, and thats not going to happen. the damage has already been done for Konstantinova especially.Yes Konstantinova might rebound, and we shouldn't rule out Shulskaya and Sakhanovich just yet. Yes, that won't happen. But we were talking about which 18 girls will qualify for RusNats, and there they all have a chance through the Russian Cup.i think all of these girls would have to win everything they enter the entire season straight for them to be a contender in RusFed's eyes. none of them would be taken seriously unless they were beating most of 3A, Kamila, Daria, Maiia and Liza, and thats not going to happen. the damage has already been done for Konstantinova especially.
oops, missed that part. that makes more sense.Yes, that won't happen. But we were talking about which 18 girls will qualify for RusNats, and there they all have a chance through the Russian Cup.
