2021 Cranberry Cup International

Rooting for Sierra in this second last group. She had an excellent free skate at her last competition. She could be one to move up a few spots. Also, the other Cyprus girl really impressed me with how well she skated that short program.

While we wait on the ice resurf, let´s enjoy the lovely opening jump :love2:
I think this is the perfect example of why she gets such differing opinions on whether fans think she should keep skating. She is clearly still able to jump as well as, if not all, then most of the top US Women. So, to see her go out and miss competition after competition can be frustrating to watch. I am somewhere in the middle. I feel like if she wants to keep competing, more power to her and it doesn’t matter how she places, then I watch her practice/warm up and I think if she would just get to a coach/training center/sports psychologist that would help her put it all together. Work on the nerves, make her run full run throughs mistakes or not, etc and she honestly could be one of the best we have in the US and wouldn’t that be something! She’s clearly beloved by many, no matter what! Today was clearly a step up for her. I stiIl wish her much success and hope that she is doing what she wants to do. As an aside, I feel like this might be her last year competing (I do not know her personally at all) but going back to the program she used when she ended up having to stop for a while, wearing a similar dress, etc. I could see her finishing the season (whenever that might be) and then saying I did it on my terms.

I hope she will skate as long as she wants to. Whether that be tomorrow or 10 years from now. As I told her on Friday, she makes me happy every time I see her skate. I thought today was a big step up. Standing ovation from me.
