Yeah, which is why I am confused why you said Bagin is Sharyar (and comments about Dunyazad and women portraying Scheherazade) haha. The pas de deux is Zobeide and The Golden Slave. Scheherazade is only the frame narrator and Sharyar is her husband who is listening to her, and neither (unless I've forgotten!) appears in the ballet. The guy who appears to kills Zobeide and everyone else in the ballet is the Shah, unless I've forgotten his name too

It did show in the Twizzles which were just like Virtue and Moir's without the goosebumps.

I can still remember that moment in perfect clarity.

They weren't too bad though!

I don't know much about ice dancing (I recognize a twizzle, but that's about it), but I really think these two are quite good. There was some minor controversy in the off-season because they apparently got a GP spot ahead of another team, but they are definitely GP material, imo.

Meanwhile me, a fan of the source material and not necessarily the ballet: How DARE they use Zobeide as the name of Sharyar's queen, Zobeide is the chief wife of Harun al-Rashid with an amazing story of her own (fumes)

I think that Igor is a great technician. He has really helped improve both of them on a technical level. Diana's SS weren't great before, I see improvement. However, he struggles when it comes to choreography. I think he needs a choreographer.

it wasn't me saying Annabelle was Scheherazade, i know she's Zobeide. isn't this story about what happened to Sharyar to turn him in a abusive crazy serial killer husband? isn't the Shah a young Sharyar? i got it all wrong?

She's Eteri's daughter - the passport to the World. Same with Annabelle Morozov. Maybe it's just me, but I find both them and their pair arrangements uninspiring.
