Will be interesting to compare and contrast two Schindler's programs. Hope Mikhail and Jason both skate clean! Make it hard for the judges....

I really don't mean this as an insult towards Mikhail (who I like very much), but I think him doing Schindler's List is a bad idea. After seeing the kind of emotional pathos Jason brought to this music, some of Misha's choreography feels perfunctory. Beautiful but still leaving me cold.
This could definitely be a case of me being biased, and having experienced Jason's SL live last year was so beautiful I literally cried. This just suffers in comparison. I think Misha has the talent to prove me wrong so I look forward to that.

Misha is just absolutely stunning. Just captivating.
This program seemed as if he was making it up as he went. Not even in the league of last year's White Crow program.

Good grief Kolyada. Such a beautiful skater. He has absolutely everything. Why must he get halfway through his programs and start tanking. At least here, he didn't tank badly. Fell out of one jump and popped another. He doesn't seem to have confidence on his ability with quads. He needs to trust himself and not over-thinking.
By God, he's a gorgeous, talented skater. Judges would give him everything if he could skate clean.

If Kolyada's team wish to persist with this unwise comparison, for the love of god, loosen his collar. The stiff, fully buttoned-up collar and tie only serves to add an air of detachment for me.
There are several parts that almost look over-dramatic. There's no sense of tragedy about it at all. This isn't the sort of Schindler's that could make you weep.
He's a fine and lovely skater. Take him back to White Crow. Yes, he will likely outscore Jason here due to quads, even if sketchy. But that's cosmetic. This isn't a comparison you want to keep inviting.

None of the russian men was perfectly clean, but they all definitely performed strongly today. If only they did this yesterday as well.Yay Mikhail!All the Russian stood up on their feet today. I can't remember when that happened last.
