I would suggest that 2006 Olympics FD was comparable splatwise—especially when you consider that ice dancers don’t jumpWhen was the last time a splat-fest of this level was witnessed? It couldn't have been all the way back in Sochi with the Men's Free.
Moonvine, I think you must be responsible for this; did you do some hexing, so Jimmy would medal? But Jimmy Ma!!!!![]()
After Kevin's fall on his flip, I thought that he was going to withdraw.Well. I step away from the forum for the last skaters, and....wow.
I'm not as worried about Nathan, he's not injured, he's had "off" days before. (not many, but some)
But Kevinand Shun
Please skating gods heal them and let them withdraw!
He didn't get enough revolutions in all of the positions. ( I think it is a minimum of three?)Shoma got a "CCoSp4V" in protocols? I forgot what the V stands for, but it was a significant drop in base value.
Yes, but Nathan is capable of a 6-quad program. I just don't think Nathan needs to put out too much OTT energy at this competition. He just needs to skate clean and do what he's capable of doing here. Maybe he's been worried about the hit to his reputation after his perfectly innocent, but ill-thought out comments in that interview he gave to two hosts who understand zip about the sport of figure skating.Nathan has some pressure on him. Shoma and Vicent are both going for 5 quad programs, and had almost clean run-throughs. Even if Nathan wins the free, if the two of them go almost clean, the deficit after the short might be big enough that he loses. He needs to be perfect, and hope the other guys make mistakes.
Well, Shun is injured, so he should consider withdrawing. I'm not sure whether he's concerned about points, or whether his fed is placing pressure on him to compete. Also, Shun, Kevin, PLEASE withdraw.
Kevin and Nathan have overall better PCS than Nam, even with technical mistakes. Nam has never been a PCS giant-killer.They made major errors on most if not all of their jumps and they still beat Nam's PCS?
No, if Kevin is injured, or even if something is bothering him mentally that badly, he should withdraw. What he put out there today was dangerous. If he's not already injured - which he is - he will be if he continues to skate like that.Well, Shun is injured, so he should consider withdrawing. I'm not sure whether he's concerned about points, or whether his fed is placing pressure on him to compete.
Kevin does seem like something is bothering him physically or mentally. But he should try to overcome and do his best in the fp.
