I wonder if Evelyn and Trennt are feeling too much pressure with Eric and Vanessa. I mean you can say that's competition, but they must have been shaken up.

I hope they can set that aside though! They have nice qualities.

sigh... so many people did complain about james and radford potentially taking an olympic spot away from trennt and evelyn when they announced their partnership... but with skates like these ones, many other teams would take their spot away... they will have to go back to the drawing board... almost every element was flawed, failed or with a low level. This is so unfortunate. I wonder what is going on.

Honestly, ( I don't want to upset the Canadians sorry) all the Canadian pair teams are underperforming this year.

I wonder if Evelyn's (at least close to) fully recovered from the chest infection that took them out of ACI (+ the training time they'd have missed)... I know they've had inconsistencies in the past but I don't recall them being this rough. Regardless, they've said they're aiming to peak in January, which they have generally done in the past so hopefully it'll be better by then

I have been struck by the fact that none of the Canadian skaters, with the possible exception of Maddie Schizas, look anywhere near as strong as they did before the pandemic. This is across all disciplines. The lack of ice time must have hit them all very hard.

It is, and as a person who doesn't drink coffee (just personal preference, my taste buds don't like coffee apparently) it's the best thing Starbucks has to offer

Thanks - I didn't realize it's from Starbucks. I'll have to check if the Starbucks around my area have it. I'm not a coffee drinker either.

Tough Free for Evelyn and Trennt. I like how the US crowd encouraged them during the bad moments. Hard to believe this team beat Lubov and Charlie Bilodeau a year and half ago. I love Lubov and charlie but then Charlie bailed on her. At least Trennt looks supportive!
