I did predict Vincent, Shoma and Nathan on the podium bit not in that order.

I kinda want to go on Twitter and post a big "F YOOOOOOOOOOU!" to that Max A guy (Did you know he dedicated an entire half hour show at the Olympics ripping apart Shoma? It was the worst display I've ever seen. I hope he's so shell-shocked he doesn't even know what to do with himself.)
Gah... He is fortunate this is the first I have seen of this. He needs to have his senses re-tuned. I will leave it to you, dear anonymoose_au, how to best do that.

I don't know how much Vincent was following the Chinese reaction to that press conference a while ago, but I just want to say that if he had been following it, I really admire him for still being able to skate out this program like this at Skate America. Not going to go into it b/c it's all political drama, but it's not easy right now to be a Chinese American wanting to connect with your heritage.

I really think Nathan should have had more competitions planned this season especially with no Japan Open. if he doesn't make the GPF he will only have Nationals to get it together before the Olympics. It's almost like Raf was relying on the past 3 years to take them to gold. That's now how it works.

I did write a strongly worded tweet but then thought better of it...I got banned from Twitter for week once, better not push my luck.

But here's the gentleman in question... Nasty piece of work even by Twitter standards.

But! This was fun! And it's not even 5pm yet! I'm not sure what to do with myself!

Vincent took Worlds personally..

insert Michael Jordan GIF here ;)

I’ve never been Vincentβ€˜s biggest fan, but he has made enormous strides in the past few years in his presentation. Kudos to him for a great competition.

I just love Sholero :love2:

and Nathan will figure it out.

Glad the free was better than the short(y)

That's our Vincent! It's hard to say for sure, but the way Vincent's throat was working and the way his mask was being sucked in and out during the anthem makes me pretty certain that he was singing the national anthem. I always like to see that.

So proud of you, and congratulations to Shoma and Nathan too. And congratulations to all the skaters tonight who could feel the thrill or effect of something positive they did that they can take forward and build on.

Yes it was. Humble, grateful, appreciative of his achievement.

Counting his two earlier events, I think this is six straight difficult programs without drastic visible errors.

Consistency, hard work, and determination. Who couldn't love this guy right now? I love a comeback story.
He's doing this while being an ivy league student too:biggrin:. How Brown's students are called? Brownies?

Seems to me that people always forget that Karen Chen and him are in ivy league too since it's never brought up, unlike with Chen. It must be challenging for them too.

I'm late to the party, but WOW! That was amazing. I haven't gone back through this thread, but if the rocker skating threads are any indication, I might be the only person who actually likes Nathan's free. He left points on the table, but I think the program is lovely. I love Shoma's program - except on first watch I think the first third is under choreographed. And wowwowow had Vincent improved!

Vincent isn't currently taking classes. I don't think Karen is either.

I believe Vincent has taken time off from Brown to focus on skating.

Technical judges has to decide if Shun is a flutzer oΕ• a lipper. He can't be both. He can have flat edges but not obvious wrong edges on both jumps. The guy got an e on 4lz at asian open. Now at SA his lutz is clean and edge call is on 4F.
