2021 Skate Canada: Men's Free Skate

That pop on the axel is gonna be costly. Maybe he should forget about the Salchow? I didn’t like how the music picked up and he’s doing a slow Biellmann spin.

Maybe he was just trying to conserve energy but he was skating soo slowly and with no choreo into some of those jumps that he ended up popping there were a few moments I got concerned he was actually going to stop

Oh no, Gracie did that bad?
Well I mean she was 4th which is still podium. It speaks to the overall quality of her skating that she’s still in 4th with a fall and 2 pops. She was clearly angry at herself, didn’t stay for scores. In a normal year with Sectionals that would have made Regionals but now we have to wait. And she has another chance in Georgia. I’m just not handling it well.

Simon, one quick thing. BEING IN LAST PLACE IS NOT A BAD THING. ALL THAT MATTERS IS HOW YOU SKATE. THE PERSON WHO PLACES LAST IN THE WOMEN'S EVENT WILL PROBABLY BE EXTREMELY TALENTED. SO PLEASE SHUT UP.
Thank you.
Yes and someone has to be last by the very nature of the sport.

But Tomoki got over his first half nerves and did amazing! Stop being a jerkface.

Give me Ted, SBS!

:ghug: Still try the Hagen-Daaz

Tomoki skates at 100mph. A skate of two halves, he finished very strongly. I like his style.

Regarding the commentators. I don’t think Chris and Simon work well independently. They don’t seem to be aware of what’s happening in the skating world, lots of incorrect info given. I’d expect Chris to be more aware.
