Men's Short Program

Ah, good for Dai!!!

I remember back when his jump landings did not look secure; he has worked very hard, and achieved a lot.

Can't believe Evan and Johnny got the same PCS, 36.80.

Fantastic comeback for Stephane. That is great for him. Wish I could see this!!

How can takahashi's PCS almost one point higher than Lambiel's ??
Why? Why ? Why?

This is ridiculous. Skating order still plays a role... takahashi has no artistry whatsoever.

Takahashi!

Amazing hip hop dancing, I'm so impressed! The footwork sequences were phenomenal, especially the circular. Straightline is great too! All the jumps were high and easy, with great flow into and out-of. He exudes confidence as he skates. Looks a bit tired at the end in the last combo spin -- but who wouldn't be after those two wicked hard footwork sequences?!

Hey does someone can help me. I usually watch Grand Prix at DAUM but today it's doesn't work to my. Does anyonw can watcg his? If yes what should I do?

Ooooh, Daisuke and Stephane are practically tied, very close at the top. I figured it would come down to these 2 in the Final. I'm not surprised at the outcome so far!

Stephane almost fell once while skating, that affects the PCS

ETA: nope, Takahashi did 3f-3t

Thanks again, feraina, for the description of Daisuke's skate. I remember from the series how original and entertaining his SP is. :)

Wow, Takahashi must have been amazing to beat Lambiel. I can't wait to see his SP.

I'm so happy for Lambiel. Having it so rough at his nationals must have helped him somehow, although I thought he'd got it together after seeing how well he did in the practice video. Now if he can just do well for his LP then we might get to see it clean and perfect. I love that program so much, I want to see it perfect at least once.

I agree that having KVDP's PCS anywhere near Chan's is ridiculous, but then again this is the sport that gave Plushenko those outrageous PCS at the Olympics and the sport that always has Johnny neck and neck with Lysacek on PCS. IMO PCS are rarely right.

I feel bad for Johnny, but honestly he's against 3 guys that got the quad so to win you have to *perfect* and they have to be slightly less than perfect. That's an unlikely scenario and he's having bad pains in the ball of his landing foot so....

Ugh, can't wait to see it on TV.

Daisuke's SP is phenomenal: it's physically draining and technically demanding (just in terms of the choreography; though of course his jumps and spins are superb!). Come Worlds, if he can add a quad to this SP, I think even Joubert can't catch him, and he might just break the world record on the highest men's SP score.

Hip hop is not normally my kind of thing, but so much virtuoso dancing goes into his skating, that I have to applaud him.:clap::clap: I'm not normally into Morosov's choreography either, especially for the ladies -- too much senseless and ugly arm flailing, but this program is choreographic genius. So original and intricate!

Stephane did a 4-3, not a 4-2. His axel was questionble though, I wasn't sure if they were going to count it. Whee, I'm so happy for him though! About Patrick though. Gorgeous axel, but the combo... His axel and KVP's quad toe-triple toe were the best jumps of the night, IMO. Both of them were robbed a little bit in marks, and I though Dai and Johnny were given a bit of a boost. Johnny should have been lower down, and Stephane should've been in first. His choreography was much more interesting, and just as unique as Dai's.

Can't wait for the long! I hope everyone skates to the best of their abilities!!!

last folder (right of ucc), roll down you'll find 07 GPF with small picture of a skater
hope it helps
