I think Kamila will go to world's for that grand slam because who knows what will happen with Akatieva coming next year. I can't see Anna be willing to give up the chance to defend her title but maybe Liza will choose to rest up because she's definitely earned it. (Not sure what Sasha would choose though if she's on the Olympic team. I think she'd probably go if she's fully healed from her injury?)

Akatieva isn’t coming to seniors next year Ladies can have a little breather for a year until Sofia makes it to seniors.
So far, Sofia managed to achieve everything Kamila did 1 year earlier. She is landing the same content as Kamila in seniors, but in her first junior season.
Kamila’s progress within last year is simply unmatched. She went from landing 1 quad out of attempted 2 to landing 3 quads and 2*3As within 1 year. Perhaps Sofia still has a similar progress in her future, but that still remains to be seen.
Sofia is already incredible though, even if she doesn’t make further progress from where she is right now (which I doubt), she can definitely compete with Kamila. She is also already breaking Kamila’s junior records on her debut.
Just thinking how sketchy the whole thing of not letting her compete at nationals is looking, you know Rusfed is very aware of what’s coming when Sofia will be competing in seniors.

But the pipeline of insane talents so far ends here. There are still incredible talents who will follow in novices landing 3As and quads, but so far, I don’t see anyone exceeding Sofia’s talent. Maybe that will be Kostyleva?

Agree about the rest. I don’t see Anna, Sasha or even Aliona giving up.

I find it really funny how some people here keep telling who smiled or didn’t smile enough. They are wearing masks! how could you for sure tell their facial expressions and judge them for it, when half of the face is covered? Sorry, but some people are going legitimately crazy, when they are running out of things to pick on.

Skating isn’t a team sport, so Kamila doesn’t have to be friends with the others. I have no idea what her relationship is with other skaters, but even the 3A made it clear that they weren’t as good of friends as portrayed.

Kamila seems very much like Alina personality wise - introverted, which may appear standoffish at times. Kamila sometimes looks nervous or scared while taking the ice, same as Alina, and is a perfectionist and very aware of her own mistakes so maybe the look of disappointment isn’t with the score, but with her own personal expectations.

Yes, she is overscored—but she’d still win. Alina was overscored. Liza is being scored a little high, Anna has been overscored, Trusova….shall I go on? The judges like what Kamila is showing them. She is athletic and graceful- THIS is what the fans have been asking for. She is perfect!

A lot of these “friendships“ are more pretending and social media spin anyway.
Posting pictures and liking posts doesn’t mean you are friends.

Me and my friends take 3 pictures together, if that, in a year. That is not how we define friendship.

For Kamila, if she can still stay at this level her next step and maybe final step is could be to change the second -3T combination to 3Lo and add a 2nd 3A in the FS. I'm excited!

Also the SP is where Anna could benefit a lot with her 4Lz/4F in the future. I wonder if Kamila will be successful in jumping some of the harder quads as the 3Lz/3F aren't her best jumps.

I think that’s the reason she’s working on the Lz-Lo and F-Lo, to see if she can add another 3A.

Another probable improvement I can see, is if she adds a complex entry into her 4Ts, the one she was doing at shows.
Btw, there was this guy (former coach) who said she was landing 4Lz in practice. Perhaps it’s not fully rotated or she can’t stick the landing just yet, but who knows, maybe that can be in the cards for her?

I think Kamila has a good chance to stay on top for a while because her spins are guaranteed points that she can afford to lose some of her ultra-c.

Zhilina and Akatieva will be senior the same year. Sofia Samodelkina, Adelia Petrosian, Sofia Muravyova and Anastasiya Zinina are all senior eligible next season. I’m not sure there will be enough vacant places for all 4.

I don’t think liking a million photos on Instagram is equivalent to being nice. I think Maia would much rather not be totally bluffed as if she didn’t exist at all than have a photo liked on Instagram.

A clean Trusova has very good elements except spins, and she would lose by even more with even two more quads. Against actual competition her scores would be ridiculous. That is why people are upset.

My only concern is that this season might not be the best time to replace the -3T with a -3Lo. Her 3F(3Lz)-3Lo looked pretty good, but in practice. Is it worth the risk when she already has two relatively stable programs? She could do it probably the next season?

Envious people are upset. People who cannot tolerate that Eteri Tutberidze came to revolutionize female figure skating. People from countries that don't see how to reach Russian ladies. Believe me that if Kamila, Anna or Sasha were from the USA, Japan, Canada or Korea, nobody would say anything. And even if they achieve their absurd idea of increasing age, I am sure that Russian ladies will continue to be dominant, I am glad to live in this time to be able to witness this story.

Kamila's 15, she still has so much time to grow as a person. My impression of her is that she's a nice kid and frankly I don't care if she's occasionally accidentally rude because no one is perfect.

Kamila has not win against Anna yet. RusFed decisively choose Anna over clean Kamila at nationals last season. Anna's not been at her best this season yet, let's wait until GPF/nationals to see.

I love that she does it for fun. TT's goal is to stabilize her programs, to show the judges that she can be consistent with her current design. They will not add more difficulty, you do not need it. She is in a league of her own, it would be fascinating to see her 3Lz3Loop and 3F3Loop combos, they look amazing in practice, but for now this design is the one we will see at the Olympics.

Ok I've been saving Kamila's skate for later (with a bowl of durian and tea) but I just went to check her kiss and cry.

I'm by no means an Eteri fangirl but she looked fine!!!! She wasn't cross/annoyed etc
Neither was DG. They were discussing something with Kamila, there were a few smiles (I think, hard to tell with masks), Kamila waved, got a pat on the leg from Eteri.

Who is upset????? Where are people getting these notions from????? The team seemed perfectly fine to me!!!!! I thought they looked fairly pleased.

Sure there were no celebratory hysterics but when does Eteri have hysterics anyway???

Eteri doesn't do hysterics....
But she sure causes some people to get hysterical.

I'm honestly baffled by the accusations that Kamila is some kind of diva. It ranks right up there on the scale of bizzare as the people who constantly predict that Anna is doomed, sometimes literally hours after she's just won a competition!!!!

Figure skating is wild!!!!

Since Kamila apparently cannot tolerate her lesser-mortal teammates, maybe she is the one who starts the "Anna is doomed" talk.
