I was beginning to wonder why he got a L3 on the step sequence but not anymore. He did all the jumps with a re-injured ankle so the sseq is just icing on the cake. He looked like he was sleep deprived but he was worried about his ankle. What a trooper he is!Honestly, I did not feel his injury... He got stronger.
From TV interview
--------------------
About one of the most difficult layout in the situation of injury:
--This layout is supposed to be base of mine. I don't find it difficult. I did not have a mind to change it.
1st jump:
--I felt like getting it although I could not have at the practices.
Salcow
--- I am not good at Salcow.
Flip:
-- I got injury at flip, so to reduce the risk of injury, I brought it to the first half.
3A above 10 points:
-- I got an injury at right ankle at 6 mins warm-up. I was thinking how to manage in the bad situation.
4T
-- I "walked" 3 steps!
4T
-- To rebuild against the bad image, I said to myself, 'this is the competition.'
3A-Eu-S
-- I watched Yuma's performance and scores. I knew without this, I would lose to him. Of course, there could be a failure as a result of the choice. But it was not pressure.
Step
-- Totally bad. I was not able to move because of my feet.
I could deliver the performance which I could currently.
At the next competition, I want to see better-self. Better quality jumps are necessary like yuzu, Yuma.

This is my memo because in the video, Shoma's part is deleted when it is uploaded!
TV show of 3 men (haa... They must have so tired. The competition ended around 9:30 PM. The announcement and interview were from 11:00 PM. Then, they went to TV broadcast..)

Our warrior really fights and never gives up. So proud of him. It was a beautiful Sholero, even with the fall. I can't even imagine performing a high-energy skate like that while injured. His work ethic is second to none. Thank you for being an inspiration. Now rest that ankle, let Emma and Demi-san give you ankle treatments, and get ready to shine at the Olys...Originally, I was thinking he would go to 4CC and use it as a "tune-up" for the Olys. I think with the Covid situation, that would probably not be a good idea. Besides, there were so many good performances by others that it's nice to see them get 4CC.
Silver is not such a bad place to be! I always try to remember Michelle Kwan's "take" on it -- "I didn't lose the gold, I won the silver!"
