Fuuu... just now the announcement and interview of Olympic members have finished! Haa, I've got maximum tension!

Shoma won't have 4CC. 4CC members are different from Olympics (Men: Kazuki, Kao, Sena)

I took the memo of Olympics members' official interview about Shoma part. They responded to 3 questions.

---------------
1. Now elected:

I am elected, so I am please for sure. Honestly, however, watching Yuma, Yuzu, I really realized what I lack. Next competition is Olympics, I think. Not doing a good performance, but seeing my growth.

2. Team, individual goals

I have been 'second' for a long time. I am not negative about it, but I want to become a skater who can aim for top, compete for top.

3. The difference between past Olympics (for Olympian)

At the previous Olympics, I was not at all nervous. New feelings may generate, but I can accommodate anything. Any situation, any feelings, I am ready to accept, so that I can grow.

Olympics, Worlds, here we come!! Again!
I can’t believe he did that with an injury, what a fighter! Congrats Shoma 👏👏👏

I’m glad to hear his ankle is already getting better, a bit more rest and I’m sure he’ll be in top form again

Nooo, Shoma hurt himself again right before the free skate ugghhh. Why do I have to be the bearer of bad news again? 😭 I hope my translation is accurate... (There's two posts in my thread)

It's time to send him some good healing energy, everyone! 🙏🙏🙏

Honestly, I did not feel his injury... He got stronger.

From TV interview

--------------------

About one of the most difficult layout in the situation of injury:

--This layout is supposed to be base of mine. I don't find it difficult. I did not have a mind to change it.

1st jump:

--I felt like getting it although I could not have at the practices.

Salcow
--- I am not good at Salcow.

Flip:

-- I got injury at flip, so to reduce the risk of injury, I brought it to the first half.

3A above 10 points:
-- I got an injury at right ankle at 6 mins warm-up. I was thinking how to manage in the bad situation.

4T
-- I "walked" 3 steps!
4T
-- To rebuild against the bad image, I said to myself, 'this is the competition.'

3A-Eu-S
-- I watched Yuma's performance and scores. I knew without this, I would lose to him. Of course, there could be a failure as a result of the choice. But it was not pressure.

Step
-- Totally bad. I was not able to move because of my feet.

I could deliver the performance which I could currently.

At the next competition, I want to see better-self. Better quality jumps are necessary like yuzu, Yuma.

---------
This is my memo because in the video, Shoma's part is deleted when it is uploaded!
TV show of 3 men (haa... They must have so tired. The competition ended around 9:30 PM. The announcement of Olympic members and interviews were from 11:00 PM. Then, they went to TV broadcast..)

I was beginning to wonder why he got a L3 on the step sequence but not anymore. He did all the jumps with a re-injured ankle so the sseq is just icing on the cake. He looked like he was sleep deprived but he was worried about his ankle. What a trooper he is!

Our warrior really fights and never gives up. So proud of him. It was a beautiful Sholero, even with the fall. I can't even imagine performing a high-energy skate like that while injured. His work ethic is second to none. Thank you for being an inspiration. Now rest that ankle, let Emma and Demi-san give you ankle treatments, and get ready to shine at the Olys...Originally, I was thinking he would go to 4CC and use it as a "tune-up" for the Olys. I think with the Covid situation, that would probably not be a good idea. Besides, there were so many good performances by others that it's nice to see them get 4CC.

Silver is not such a bad place to be! I always try to remember Michelle Kwan's "take" on it -- "I didn't lose the gold, I won the silver!"

Sending healing vibes across 6,305 miles! ♥️🥰 :ghug:

Yeah, totally agreed. I had a chill. And I totally forgot there had been a fall (I mean, it had been a moving performance so that I forgot the fall). It was a just beautiful program. So awesome that there is so much room to grow in this program! What I have felt through his statements in this competition is, the efforts, practices which he have paid so far really give him confidence. He has a certain belief in himself through hard work, which never betrays him.

I really love this Kwan's words (At Nagano, we really wanted her to win! And I never forget at Saltlake Olympics Gala, she skated with Field of Gold with the gold costume, having full tears in her eyes...)

And the competition of JPNat was definitely magnificent. The competition cannot be done alone. Skaters through hard times really had the passion, the joy of skating. And seeing talents really makes me happy.

Are you going to US Nationals? Send my vibe to US!! I just hope all skaters stay healthy, can achieve their performances... (Yeah, it is really tough Nationals at Olympic years...Sometimes very heartbreaking..)

i hope to see shoma skate a clean and healthy version of this bolero. actually, all he was missing here is to do the 4t combo on the first attempt... if we assume he would have done that, the second quad toe would not be +REP so just one jumping pass error :) costly though (about 15 points or so for the combo and the +REP) His three opening quads were great.
