The calendar for men is non sense.Well the situation is not that simple
They can only spilt 2 of 4 disciplines. First going to the men of course, since it’s only 2 days between the individual and the team event. No one can skate 4 times in 6 days. That’s insane.
The second, imo, they will split the dance. Sin/Kats definitely not healthy enough to do both. And Eteri will want her daughter to have an OGM. So probably S/K for RD and D/S for FD.
So that means the women and pair with have to do both. Maybe it’ll be Kamila and Mishina/Galliamov. Kamila stuck with both and hopefully it goes better for her than it did Yulia....
If they split dance (reasonable) and the second dance is not Step/Buk I hope the men bomb it so bad that there is no medal for russia (no gold at least).
Maybe it would be good to leave Sin/Kat out but I don't know it Russia can afford it. The dance competition is fierce.
On the team event matter (but not about Russia), limiting splitting is "counter team" in my logic.
I would impose substitution to look for deepness in the skating field, but that could make it difficult for small skating countries to participate so no impositions but why a limit?
But in the end nothing will surpass having a nation officially banned from olympics participating to the team event under a false flag.
(don't misunderstand me: I'm happy for the skater that had nothing to do with the banning but it was so hypocrotical one can only laugh about it)
This is so obvious ISU will never remotely consider it.The team event should so clearly be after the individual event. It sucks all the fun out of the event knowing all the individual medal contenders aren't giving it their all. If all the stress of the individual events was over, the skaters could actually relax and have fun in the team event.
There is a chance that after and invididual medal (maybe gold) some skater would skip team event
