2022 Olympics Team Event Day3: Pairs Free Skate

hah the french cbc commentator said : this is the most difficult death spiral.. nobody uses it because it's ugly and very unsuccessful, just like this one.
I guess it depends on how they define successful, lol. Points-wise, S/H got 6.38 for their FoDs4 in skate canada. Aesthetically, I agree, 100% fail-rate lol.

M/G had to get some high GOE to get that TES with fall on the lift, which is very costly, and a wobble on spin.

I literally said no such thing.

Before their skate there weren’t any skaters in the box.

They were there after.
So what were you trying to imply by even suggesting some kind of statement was being made by only coaches being in the Canadian box during the warm-up??? What's the big deal!

There have been unfair and unfounded accusations made against Vanessa, for no good reason, after Cdn Nat'ls. That's what I am referencing for good reasons.

I hope all of these teams can let go and shine their brightest in the individual pairs event. It’s a lot of pressure to skate a team event and an individual event in the span of only a couple of weeks. So much stress and it’s difficult to maintain stamina over so many performances in such a short span of time!

To be fair, if you get low GOE maybe it's better to go for second most difficult one.
yup... he went on and on saying : it doesn't even look like a spiral at this point... like she is running around him instead of gliding.. he was not impressed. He also said James and Radford were much better than the Chinese... but of course, he works for CBC ... i prefered James and Radford personally because i felt P/J were very shaky while J/R did okay performance wise

Good lord, GALLIAMOV looked stunned in the kiss and cry. I hope he's getting medical attention. HIs partner looked okay.

I don't know why the Chinese are so far behind the russians, though.
he saved Mishina from injury, he didn’t think about himself. Looks like he got hit hard. It was heard how Anastasia asks for a band-aid immediately after leaving the ice.

I liked it when Shen Xue did it... but yea, it's generally ugly. It's comparable to those ugly crotchety lift positions that EVERYONE seems to do.

Hmmm, at this point Karen Chen will likely finish 3rd or 4th behind Kaori who will likely take 2nd. So this means Chock/Bates will have to place at least two places higher than KoKo. They should be able to get 3 places higher, but KoKo might be able to scoot ahead of Wang/Liu. The battle for silver is very intense!

Well, the USA is in trouble for silver now. I knew I was right to be nervous after yesterday.
And I for one would feel so much more confident if we had Hubbell & Donohue in the free; they were on fire in the RD and I kind of thought at the time—why mess with success?

But I am not Team USA, obviously :)

I'll eat my socks if the math doesn't end up working out in Japan's favor.

I don't want you to eat your socks, And it COULD happen, But only If Karen Chen comes in dead last to Kaori's 2nd,
And Chock and Bates come in third behind the Russians and Canadians, Any other scenarios and the US wins,
Either by points or on a tie breaker since Japan has no 1st places yet
