Kamila Valieva: Anti-doping Case and Follow-ups

Joint IOC & Beijing 2022 Daily Briefing - 12.02.2022

IOC Spokesman Mark Adams said he is "almost certain that there will be a decision made by Feb 15 regarding the suspension."

I don't think Kami will be allowed to skate but if she will after all, realizing about the favourable decision at the (possibly) very last moment will be very stressful.

Testing is much more predictable in figure skating. Skaters are not tested as much as athletes in most other sports, and due to WADA financial difficulties, most testing happens during events. With all of the Eteri skaters using the same doctor, one has to wonder if Kamila's dose was simply mistimed, and other Eteri skaters evaded detection by having their doses well timed.
IIRC, skaters from Russia have said that the testers can appear any time, while you are on vacation or dining out. Probably the Russian athletes are more scrutinised after Sochi and because of the ladies consistently winning.

Also, the medalists are always tested, so despite her age, Kamila must have undergone quite a lot of testing in juniors and seniors, because she always wins.

OK, words from Eteri:

I bet there will be precise translation soon, but preliminary summary based on my little abilities: do not expect any sensation from it, it's a general summary of the situation.

Go give her the drugs and lets see if she can do it...NO
No amount of drug made Valieva work as hard as she does, make her have the beautiful extension she does and make her have magic skills.....doesn't work that way
One positive among how many negatives for how many years? Yea and the timing isn't suspect at all.....hope she competes and wins as she should
Will Valieva do her quads without drugs when she is 19, like Rika is now. No!

isn't these media harassmen

stop putting your own verdict and own malice. did Rika even land a quad anyways ? save this personal attack comment and we'll bump this back when Kamilas 19.
Guuuuurl... it's gonna be a long 4 years for you. Whether Kamila competes in team or 4 years from now, there will always be a cloud of doubt that she isn't skating cleanly, which isn't fair if she was oblivious to it, but as they say.... once a doper....

Maybe the ISU is smarter than we give them credit for, and they purposely have scandal at the Olympics to distract the casual viewers from the ridiculously corrupt scoring and judging, which is the real scandal at every skating event. That is the "look over here" , lol.
OMG. This is so insightful. You've definitely discovered what we're all failing to ignore.

Once if I'm not mistaken, at 2020-21 japan nationals.

you can tag her all you want but she has been landing quads since 13. no doubt if you can land quad from young age you LL keep it. she has the right physical body shape, she has long springy legs. genetic advantage
