Yes, I agree his brothers videos at least give us a glimpse to how Shoma is doing and what is new in his life, but like I sadi I would just prefer to watch proper videos on his channel, they were much more informative and interesting
While we wait for a new update from Shoma on his Youtube channel, can I recommend you some channels on Youtube that have done great work translating and providing English subtitles for Shoma content? Shoma's fans from Vietnam has this Youtube channel where they provide videos with English and Vietnamese subtitles- you can turn on the subtitles on Youtube for the English captions.

Their latest work was the conversation between Shoma, Nathan Chen and Yuma during Stars on Ice:

I have already seen this video but thank you! Need to check other videos on that channel

I am curious if Shoma realises he is the most handsome figure skater and the most godd-looking boy on the Asian continent? lol

I was a bit dissapointed with his bronze, I felt he could have walked away at east with a silver mrdal, but his free program skate was a little rough indeed but at least he didnt finish off the podium!

Shoma went to the Toyota City Government Office to be presented with an honor award (and strawberries!). He's been there several times, but he said that this visit was the happiest and most proud he has ever feel. Also, when he was asked to summarize his season, he said it was good: all the successes and failures came together and he was able to use it to face what's ahead.

Also... we have a bit of news about his programs next season- he'll reveal the SP music/song somewhere else (not in the award ceremony) and he'll most likely skate the new SP at the next ice shows (so PIW). And also, his FS will probably be made by Kenji Miyamoto, creator of our queen Oboe, and Shoma isn't involved in choosing the music/song. So, if all goes well it will be Stephane and Kenji, but they switch programs :love2:

How did you know all that? From Twitter? Was it in English?

Yes, from the news outlets that post their report on Twitter. No, it wasn't in English, but in Japanese.
Did you have to use an online translator or do you know Japanese? Just judging from you English you seem to be a native English speaker, sorry if I am mistaken )

I am so excited to see his new program... and I'm holding out hope for the free skate to be a piece of music that I think would be perfect for Shoma. I think Kenji has good taste so we should be OK no matter what.

Did anyone also hear that Mihoko is doing his EX?

I use online translator! My first choice is usually Deep L, but also I look for fans who are more fluent in Japanese than me and get more info from them. I usually read all the different translations of Shoma news, because I like getting all the perspectives and nuances of what he thinks/says.

Hahah, thank you for the compliment! But no, English is not my first language.

I am afraid he will never post proper videos on his channel (( he seems to have neglected it (( The English learning videos are just awesome ) I can relate to those as I am myself working on my English ) But I think they are all made in a humorous way on purpose ))
As to his brothers videos, yes it is nice to see their house, which seems to be a very big house, I have an impression it is a three-storey house, and it is nice to see Shoma in them but other that that it is all the same, just puppies playing.
Agreed there is a lot of puppy content which I don't mind but Itsuki is home without Shoma a lot so he posts the pups. Most often there is a snippet of Shoma either at Champery or practicing at Chukyo University. It makes me happy to see Shoma happy when he comes home or is packing to leave in those videos while seeing the other channel with more content that Shoma provides. I'm looking forward to seeing more Shoma content too!

WHat is your native language then? If it is not a secret iof course )

So you know some Japanese after all? I mean is it possible to learn Japanese, and by that I mean to learn how to read and write it, conversional Japanese would not be that bad I guess

Welcome to the new Shoma fans! Have fun 🤗

I’m SO excited about the new programs, especially after finding out who will do the choreo!

NowVoice is a social media platform from Japan where Shoma posts often. It has voice clips on different topics. It’s a paid platform but some kind fans usually translate and post the most important parts (many thanks to them 🙏)

I am looking forward it too but like I sad he seems to have neglected his channel for some reason oh ((
The reason was because he really focused on his training last season! I mean, the Olympic season was super important and he came out of it with a lot of achievements, so I guess not updating his channel was one of the sacrifices he made. He did say he'll try to create content in the off-season, so we'll see!

NowVoice summary and translation of his Toyota City mayor visit:

Love, love his message to kids- I think Shoma has said something similar in the past but it's a really touching and great advice. He's good with words, and he's gotten even more eloquent as he matures!

“Everyone makes mistakes. I hope you won’t be backward from challenges. Efforts may not lead you to the success you wanted, but efforts will never be in vain. You gain something from it. It means something just by doing challenges. So I hope you will value what you have challenged because it’s very precious.”

Well now it is the off-season but he is not in a hurry to create anything for his channel ((
