The accusations are pretty wild and maybe translation is part of the problem but she says they didn't send her to the Cup Final this season and that if they had done that she would have won (big assumption to make) and been selected for the national team. Those are 2 big assumptions 1 that she would have won (even though she had underperformed all season) and that she would have made the national team - i like to watch her skate but unless there are some retirements or country changes she is a long shot at the national team and would have been even if she went to the cup final and done well. < unless there is a provision that if you win the Russian cup final that you are automatically on the national team.

Terms of possible Russian GP stages (apparently this is not supposed to replace the Russian Cup series) - edited:

Sochi: 28-30 October

Moscow: 11-13 November
Samara: 18-20 November

Six stages, not five. The fourth one is in Moscow (11-13 November).

Even domestic competitions will be much more exciting than the whole int. season without russian ladies (and pairs and ice dancers, maybe even men will be missed :) ).
Well that's certainly true.. I still haven't watched the Worlds and Junior Worlds.. I wonder if I find strength to watch during summer.. it's not like there are not some of my favourite skaters.. but it's just ridiculous without Russians...

Exactly. Of the women's competition, I forced myself to watch the short skates, but it was so weird and lame (and not because there weren't any solid skates) that I was unable to watch the free. I only watched men's free skates then.

Even though I actually enjoyed the women's competition at worlds quite a lot, it definitely felt weird to not see the Russian ladies there, I definitely missed them. But to be honest, the skaters I missed the most were Yuzuru, Nathan and Kolyada (and Michal Březina).

And don't even start with JGP... it was too bad Japanese girls weren't there last season, it felt incomplete.. but without Russian girls I just won't be able to watch at all...

I only watched the men's. Couldn't face the farce of the women's and the pairs !! It's a ridiculous ban!

Officially it is a "protective measure", not a ban nor punisment... :scratch2:

Girls' JGP will be a comedy without russian girls and pairs' JGP will be a tragedy without russian pairs.

Any reason why no Piter? No ice?
