Any reason why no Piter? No ice?

I really hope that they will be allowed to compete against other nations. My favourite skaters are from Russia, so I want to see how they will skate&win![]()
Oh come on. There were three skaters missing out of how many... 33? And one of them doesn't even have a triple axel, the other one wouldn't even have been top three, because she always crashes on her 3A. I don't see such a big difference in the short program to call it lame.Exactly. Of the women's competition, I forced myself to watch the short skates, but it was so weird and lame (and not because there weren't any solid skates) that I was unable to watch the free. I only watched men's free skates then.
One do not has to jump 3A to deliver an exciting program (which you should agree on as your favourite Kaori does not have one). The number 33 doesn't mean much. Compared to tennis in the best times of the trio Federer-Nadal-Djokovic 33 other players would not replace the excitement from those three.Oh come on. Those three skaters happened to have quads and be the current Olympic Champion, Olympic Silver medallist and World record holder and World Champion not able to defend her title!! That is a big deal in sports!!! Don't try and put across the argument that they are just "three Skaters! Nonsense!!Oh come on. There were three skaters missing out of how many... 33? I don't understand why Anna is always underestimated. Even though I've always respected Sasha for her diffulty, Anna and Alena always stood out to me as more complete skaters, and when Alena started to struggle, it seemed obvious to me that Anna would be the most successful. I didn't really see Kamila coming, although I probably should have.Eh, personally I didn't watch the competition, but I can certainly see how some could watch the event and feel some weirdness at elephant in the room at the lack of Russian athletes, including the reigning World/Olympic champion who had stated her intention to go to Worlds after she won the Olympics and certainly looked poised to defend her title (especially given that Valieva was a little injured at the Channel 1 Cup). And that skater without the triple axel you mentioned, didn't have a triple axel at Worlds last year and she was still the leader after the SP.

To become ISU officials, which is obviously a long-term career seeing all those officials at the congress? And, of course, poor Alisik. They can both consider some other career choice now...

What to say... poor Sofia... I hope she can get an exception or something...

You must have dreamed of winning the Olympic Games since childhood. Was it like you imagined?
Anna Shcherbakova: No matter how strange it may sound, winning the Olympics was not my childhood dream. Perhaps because my parents did not send me to figure skating with the expectation of professional sports, no one told me about major international competitions, our family never had discussions like “You will become a champion!” I just skated. I had dreams, for example, to win the championships at our rink. I was told that there would be competitions at the rink, and I had a desire to win. But I never looked that far ahead. Not that I didn’t want to, I just didn’t think about it. It seems to me that my dream appears only when the understanding comes that it is real.
This season, when I already understood that I got in shape, that I could qualify for the Olympic Games, at this moment, of course, both goals and dreams appear. Closer to the Olympic Games, of course, this has already become my dream, because I understood that this is real.
I like them all.. well maybe except Wakaba.. but still not worth watching...Just to make a rough picture about how the season without russian women will look like...

Not sure if this can be learned, more like developed. They need to talk to Shcherbakova about how to frame their mindset

Hmmm, Anna is quite exceptional in many ways..They need to talk to Shcherbakova about how to frame their mindset

Ha, I watched just for a while the congress on Youtube but I happened to see the exact part where they rejected more junior tournaments, solely because it would just cost too much money. And I expect more financial troubles because less people will be interested in events without Russians obviously...Nevertheless, if unser liebes ISU prolonged the junior careers of the skaters, they should care more about the whole junior level, like provide more competitions, incl. the (rejected of course) junior europeans/4CC, to keep the skaters motivated, becasue otherwise, I'm sorry but the autumn JGP series and then just junior worlds are not enough for like four years, minor junior/kids competitions bring like rather more expense than experience.
