2022 JGP Courchevel Women's Free Skate

not a tango not a tango not a tango

I don't know if "Havana ooh na na" is a tango. But the rest of the music certainly wasn't! :cheer:

Fun programme. But, what do you expect from something partly choreographed by Javier Fernandez?!

This girl has some great skaters working with her. Cathy Reed also worked on this, and Miki Ando did her SP. And then there is the Japanese coaching team.

You all know I have a soft spot for Japanese people, and a soft spot for Small Fed skaters. So, it goes without saying that I am biased when it comes to Sorami. But, I really do rate her.

This week mightn't have gone as well as she would have hoped. But, considering she was using borrowed skates, she did a great job!

Looking forward to things going more smoothly next time.

:cheer: WELL DONE!!! :cheer:

i'll call this dreadful color wet concrete. girls, stop wearing it, please

Yesterday, you were one of the most vocal people complaining about skating to "Big Spender". And now you are encouraging skaters to strip! :drama:

I just don't know!

(Don't worry, I know that's not what you meant. But, it's how it sounded).

If we really have to classify "Havana" as a latin rhythm, it would be a Cha Cha (Cha).

Thank you. I'm not a dance expert at all.

By the way, I do realise the song is just called "Havana". But, let's face it, it is impossible to say the word "Havana" in any context nowadays without adding "ooh na na" onto the end!

That's how much of an impact the song has had.
