2022-23 Cup of Russia - Stage 1 - Moscow

Sometimes the penalty is awarded in football, sometimes it’s not. Doesn’t mean the referee or VAR is corrupt or been bribed.
A very bad comparison. Unless you're thinking of a game where it's a foregone conclusion which penalties will be awarded and which will not. And that's what I call corruption.

Sorry, but the burden of proof is on you to prove corruption in the figure skating judging.

A post alluding to them being corrupt isn‘t admissible evidence.

Or, you can become a judge if you think you can do better. So you can then be called corrupt. Haha

Remember yesterday when I said the chasing pack has to step it up if they want to dethrone the best?

Well, talk about answering the call. Akatieva showed a fighting spirit and was clutch tonight. That’s how you grab the bull by the horns.

You want to get attention? You go out and defeat Kamila in the free skate. That is the shortest of shortlists, people that have taken a FS from Kamila.

Now you start wondering what if? What if she landed the 3A in the short program?

It will only make her more confident for the rest of the season. It was a complete opposite performance to yesterday. People criticise Eteri. I thought the whole Eteri asking why Kami why she stopped fighting after the free skate was overblown. Bach got involved calling it chilling lol. The last thing Kami needed was Eteri getting emotional at that moment. She had to behave as normal which is finding honest faults. And Eteri was correct. Kami quit at the Olympics, but that's okay. Eteri was in Kami's corner is all. It only comes around once every four years, she wanted Kami to medal even though it would deny her other two skaters form receiving their medals. That's how much Eteri supported Kami above her other skaters.

Akateva was in tears after the SP, but Eteri to her credit to bow to any public pressure and coddle Akateva. She remained a strong and stabilising force and Akateva delivered today. That was a very mature skate.

Wow, looks like T/M is not going to win. Can’t say I am sad. All that ‘omg, we have 8 coaches!’ is not in their favor. Vibing for Khabibulina/Knyazhuk 🙌🥇

You know me, I ignore the arrows Eteri takes. Top level coaches aren’t there to coach the fans, or please the fans, they are there to develop champions.

If the fans coached these skaters, they would never reach their potential.

Anyway, this is, understandably, Sofia’s day.

But, lost in all the hype, Kamila still was able to pull out the victory. This is Kamila after all, she isn‘t rolling over.
