I just remembered that sochi stage was last week. I wonder why they didn't give karina more time to treat her injury and let them compete in next or last stage. I think there is another skater who did that, cmiiw.
Last week was Kazan - it was two weeks but not enough to heal a long running leg injury.
I doubt that one or two weeks would be enough.
You should watch their Carmen FS, it's amazing.
Sadly not the skate he really would have wanted but he only fell once and had to put his hand down on the 2 quads so its not really that bad
Probably doesn't help to be coached by Volkov (I assume he's still with him?), whose skaters tend to be on the slower side and generally don't have very strong spins either - Though at least he has experience with tall quad jumpers, so that might help Egor in the long run.His growth has clearly affected his skating tho, he is so slow on the ice now and his spins are a struggle
Who other than Artem has Volkov had success with tho? Even Temas quads are very unpredictable . Vika would have been the perfect destination for Egor, but for his sake I hope things work out with Volkov.
