And far, far fewer than in actual competitions - Seems that quads are actually not the problem. There are far fewer mistakes than in jumping competitions during Channel One Cup.
I honestly dont know, I would have thought they would use Samo here instead as its less risky if she makes mistakes here than in the combo rounds.Wait, why Mishin is using Lutfullin in single jumps?

What interesting is that this is the third jumping competition where Liza has popped the Axel or fallen on it. And I don't remember her popping it in a competition at all.And far, far fewer than in actual competitions - Seems that quads are actually not the problem.
Because Lutfullin has beautiful combos tooI honestly dont know, I would have thought they would use Samo here instead as its less risky if she makes mistakes here than in the combo rounds.![]()
Thank youPoints for rounds.
He doesn’t have a leading man…No big surprise in the results here (1. Mishin 2. Tutberidze 3. Plushenko), this was very much what I expected.
So it seems that Liza is a person who profits from the rigid structure and the constant course of a competitive program while a lot of other skaters seem to have issues with it when it comes to difficult jumps. What interesting is that this is the third jumping competition where Liza has popped the Axel or fallen on it. Yep - Nikita and Maxim Avtushenko have the technical potential, but they aren't consistent or well-rounded enough yet to come even close to the top (at least when comparing to seniors). He doesn’t have a leading man…
i honestly think Maxim would have done well in this competition, he doesn't have the skating skills nor the spins but he doesn't need them here, he is really consistent with his quads. Probably would have been the better choice, but I think this is more of politicking opportunity for Nikita who did well in the cup stages and could be looking at a medal during jr nats or the final if the top skaters mess up a lot.Yep - Nikita and Maxim Avtushenko have the technical potential, but they aren't consistent or well-rounded enough yet to come even close to the top (at least when comparing to seniors).
Both have their ups and downs with quads, Maxim is technically slightly more consistent with his, but I don't think there's a huge difference in quad stability (though 3As are a different story, Nikita struggled quite a bit with them last season/early on this season).i honestly think Maxim would have done well in this competition, he doesn't have the skating skills nor the spins but he doesn't need them here, he is really consistent with his quads.
