Yep, considering what Petr got for his performance I don't understand Dima's score at all.

This better become a yearly event.
Good for the retired and semi retired skaters to have something to look forward too and a way for the active skaters to compete without needing to get in 5th gear.

Although the last part of the sentence may be outdated after #21 decides to go into 7th gear. Haha

It seems like the punish people a little for relying on props, but it should have more emphasis on creativity to allow the old skaters and ice dancers to compete on a level playing.

I didnt see anything particularly innovative in Sofia program. Lovely dress and moon though. Apart from that its just usual Daniil G choreo and constantly poking Earth.

But she does have the whole world in her hands at this point.

She has braces back on? Did she take them off specifically because of this season or something?

During the ice resurfacing I went and looked on some fan IG page and Akatieva's and I don't see any instances of her not having braces this season, she smiles a lot with her mouth closed which is usually indicative that the person is wearing braces.

I am figuring Aliev was underscored because he forgot to wear a scarlet shirt embroidered at the collar and rip it open at the moment of rapture. Is Samarin participating to test this hypothesis?

The event never had clear cut rules to begin with. That was part of the fun, the venture into the unknown. No wonder they used a space analogy to sell this. This is uncharted territory.

It is event one. There can be tweaks. I think there absolutely should be a separate score for props and costumes. Give a separate cash prize to the top scorers.

It also helps that the active ones aren’t going full throttle. Yet.

I hope the skaters are not too sad about "bad" scores, so far the scores seemed random.

These are competitors to the max and champions. It might be a more relaxed competition, but the competitive juices are flowing.

I think he mentioned that he could be a professional pianist if he wanted to. Don't know if that's true, but it's surely a big part of him.

It's incredible. The Russian fed exceeded expectations again. I hope the ISU dinosaurs are taking notes.
