Wow - That was excellent!! Way to go, Mai! She is such a well-rounded skater, and there were many lovely moments in that program (e.g., the change of speed in the spin). You can't help but root for her, after all the health issues that she has been through. I hope that she will have a wonderful free skate as well!

I've never been in a car crash, but it made me very uncomfortable. So, I dread to imagine how it would make somebody who has been in one feel.

Well in Nastya's defense I'm sure she didn't know, but yeah it was an odd choice, the music is fine by itself. It would be distracting practicing in the same rink though! I'd forever think a car had come crashing in the door or something.

Mihara clean! My favorite ladies’ SP of the season. I really like the acceleration of the sit spin right on the music. There’s little details like that that make this such a good program. Such a great performance on home ice.

Fortunately, this music doesn't actually have lyrics in it, so it works. Otherwise it'd be weird to hear "Jingle Bell Rock" or whatever at the end of March

Yeah, she would have had no way of knowing.

But, I agree, the music would have been lovely without the sound effect. Including it really did spoil the whole thing for me.
