They need to do something, the ISU financial report has made it clear that the TV stations themselves, even and especially in Japan but also elsewhere, are not happy with what they are getting for their money and the worse it gets, the less good quality coverage they all will be interested in making. It's a vicious circle.

I do think even if it takes a current financial hit at a time they are losing money, they should go back to putting it all on youtube, maybe with some premium/extra stuff for subscribers. So yeah, that's my entire wishlist for the sport in general.

Yeah, and it's so stupid of the ISU (and the USFSA in particular) to be worried about the loss of money and the state of the sport when they do nothing to promote figure skating or make it accessible. Like, use your brains! Of course the sport is losing money when you hide it so well!
The usfsa is always complaining yet they refuse to hire a social media specialist or something for help with promotion. The quad axel should have been big news. There shouldn't be a paywall to access the events. NBC should not be airing one hour of condensed coverage on a Sunday at 4pm. The youtube account should not be a space only for silly food series and generic "about me" sessions or group dances in a gym.

I want to see Skate Canada sending out as many skaters as they can to as many events as possible. And to not give up any host spots at SCI. The only way our skaters will get better is if they get out there and skate and get known by international judges. We know that judges are more apt to hold up a top contender who has a bad skate then an unknown who actually has a good skate.

I would like CAS to stop delaying that case. It should not take 7 months to read paperwork. This is absurd.

I would like to see the end of discrimination against skaters for their nationality. This is no different to racism or homophobia.

I would like to see Russian skaters domestic results be counted towards qualification for 2026 Olympics. This is only fair since they are not allowed to compete through no fault of their own.

I would like to see Russian Nationals held in March against the world championships and the Russian GP final moved to the pre-Christmas slot.

I would like to see the ISU spend some of their $300 million reserves on the development and promotion of the sport, on giving more money to the skaters. It's a brutal, high impact sport, with many injuries, the skaters are forced to perform shows or beg online in order to fund their training, often finishing with nothing.

I would like to see the end of the highly discriminatory quota system. Allow the best skaters peform. This is the biggest reason why skaters cut their careers short in highly competitive countries because there is no way to compete internationally if they can't stay in the top 5 or 6 in the country. Whereas there are countries like Great Britain where if you can get a score of 160 in the women's event you will compete internationally for as long as you like. In other countries there are skaters who regularly score 220 and miss out on international selection. This is so unfair and hampers the development of the sport.

Well last year it took forever for them to get them up. It could for a few reasons. It might be that the ISU.is just taking their sweet time. They are trying to figure how to get Russians back into the Grand Prix,with two most likely women both having issues with one being banned and the other having the same coach as the banned skater, without creating an uproar. Now I do not want them back until they get out of someone else country and they start really addressing the abuses that caused the problems in the first place. Third the uproar about holding Skate America in Texas. I say just move it to Las Vegas and anybody who already bought a ticket who can not attend give their money back and move on.

ISU I do need to know where my favorite skaters going to be on so I can plan my schedule around when they will be on because I do not expect Peacock/NBC coverage will be any better than it was last season. I can hope but I am not planning on it.

I wish Isabeau and Ilia would be the 2024 World Champions and Jason would be on the podium. I wish Lindsay Thorngren and Andrew Torgashev would be on the 2024 World team. I wish that no one would skate a preachy cause program as I watch figure skating to escape from our everyday craziness. I also wish that no one skates to Vivaldi's Four Seasons or any other over used music. Last, but certainly not least I wish that no one has a serious injury that takes them out for the season!
