Exactly. Like if he doesn't need to do it, then no need. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight. I wrote this in the FP thread, but I'll rewrite it here:
I'm so proud of Ilia. I remember back in August 2019 when it was the JGP USA. I like to look at the bios of the US skaters to see where they're from and if there are any from the DMV. I read Ilia's bio and saw he was from my home county and trains in it. I thought that was pretty cool. Then when he skated his SP, he had big jumps there that were controlled and I was impressed. The FP was a little less so, but I decided I was going to root for him (Him being from my home county gave me a bit a bias, yeah I know). I knew he had potential. And the 2021-2022 showed even more so in his JGPs and at Nationals when he caused an upset and got silver. I'm happy I've been a part of the journey. And now, the 300 club. This is amazing.

Always fun to root for someone from your area. I am going to root for Martin's & Bedard now that I know they're from Illinois. He used to train at a rink just a few miles from me. I think they're out in CA. now though, training with Meno & Sand. Sorry for the OT.
