American Idol - Season 7

I think after tonights show that Brooke will be going home. This was the second time she had to start over because she forgot the words.= not good Jason wasn't that good either but he'll survive. David C. and Carly were the 2 best of the night for me. Jesus Christ Superstar really suited her and she sang it well. I think the bottome three willl be Brooke = Jason and David A.

Carly's shrieking was SO ANNOYING... I love that song, and she started off well but I wanted her to shut up by the time she got half way

Jason picked the wrong song

Brooke was not good

David C was amazing... I finally get what some have seen in him already

David A is booooooooooo-rrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggggg

Syesha is really suited for broadway (and that's a compliment)

bottom three for me:

David A, Carly, Brooke

predicted bottom:
Brooke, Carly, Syesha

with Brooke going home

This has got to be the worst season ever!! I could not stand anyone last night. Maybe because I actually saw Phantom with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman on Broadway and really no one even compares to either of them.

David C. did a great job. I have the Phantom DVD and he actually sounded the same not all the way through but in parts. I also thought David A was great, I just love him. I think if Jason just put some feeling in the the Memories song it would have been better. That is just one of the songs that gets to me...but not with Jason singing it. It was very, very bad and then bad some more.

Syesha was terrific. I can't really say to much about the other women.

I loved Jason's version of "Memories". Liked David Cook too. Maybe not their best performances but good enough for me. By the way, on dialidol, David Cook now stands alone as the favorite to win.

I saw all but Carly perform the Andrew Lloyd Weber songs. I only saw her re-cap and what I saw seemed okay.

I missed the results show, however...Dying to know who went home...It isn't on the Idol website yet.

What a JOKE. Brooke (who flubbed her lines) and Jason (who you couldn't even hear him singing = his voice was so soft) are safe and Carly who in my opinion was in the TOP two best performances the night got booted off. What was everyone listening to last night ????? This may make me not watch the show anymore this season.

Well I watched teh whole thing, and while I feel Brooke and Jason weren't the strongest, I couldn't stand Carly's screeching throughout the song. I am so sick of all of these singers SCREAMING and getting far in the game... yes Kelly Clarkson won with her big powerhouse voice - but her success afterwards has not been because of the 'power' as that's what sidelined her after the show...

Carly's JC Superstar number gave me a headache both nights...

I watched Carly on YouTube. Although her rendition of JC Superstar wasn't awful, it wasn't great either.

Brooke and Jason are "pleasant" to listen to and have a likability factor that is huge, but...

I think if David Cook doesn't win this thing, something is wrong.

Totally agree about David Cook. While I like David A, David Cook has the stage presence that could sell concert tickets.........I'd download songs from him for my Ipod for sure.............42

Well, personally I think Carly absolutely kicked butt the other night and was easily the best of the night; I also think Syesha was by far 2nd best so I was more than appalled by the results show. I'm wondering if a lot of people voted based on who they thought was in trouble.

I actually thought Brooke was going to go home; judging by her reaction on the results show, I think she did, too. That was certainly her weakest performance and I am REALLY hoping she steps it up next week; she's been losing momentum for about the past month now.

As to the rest, Jason just should NOT have gone there; ITA with Simon that David C made the best of the song he chose (which I am not a fan of by any means), and as for David A -- well, he pretty much sounded the same as he did last week, and the week before that, and the week before that, and the week before that.... it's hard for me to recall any of his performances (except for "Imagine" and that would only be because it got raved about up one end and down the other) because to me, every single thing he does sounds exactly alike.

Johnny Coop: If you believe people should be eliminated based on one night's performance, would you agree that Syesha should have left before Chequzie? Or that Carly should have left sooner than she did? both had bad nights earlier but their fans kept them in. And that is why the remaining 5 are still in the competition.

I don't believe that's actually what I said, but if we're going to use that criteria -- Yeah, you could argue that Syesha should have left before Chikezie, but that would depend on what point in the competition we're talking about. Most of Chikezie's performances, to me, were so ODD I actually didn't know what to make of them so... However, it hasn't been until the last 3 or 4 weeks that Syesha has really stepped up her game. As far as Carly, if we're going to use the "one bad performance" criteria, then, yes, she DEFINITELY should have gone home the night after she sang "Total Eclipse of The Heart"; she was WAY off there.

I'm assuming you may be referring to me thinking Brooke was outa there. I like Brooke, but I'll be the first one to say that she hasn't had a really ON night in about 4 weeks; I just expected that to catch up with her Wednesday night. If I was going to use one bad performance to guess who was outa there, the other night I definitely would have bet on Jason.

I find Syesha just boring. She's just like Vonzel from 4th season. She has a good voice, but I don't think it's going to get her any far after Idol. I just think the producers are extremely biased when selecting female frican American contestants. Why do they have to select "diva" types? Why can they give opportunities to someone like India Arie or Corinne Bailey Rae? At its 7th season, I believe contestants like that would bring lot more than divas.

At this point of game, everyone except Syesha can bring something new. While I'm not so fond of David A, he's nothing like previous winners. Brooke and Jason are just refreshing, and David C is consistently great.

How I see things. David A. and Brooke need to go home now followed by Syesha. That takes Jason to the finals with David Cook who will be the eventual winner!

I hope Jason goes home tonight. i just don't like his voice. I don't know why he has made it this far. David C. was the best of the night. Syesha was boring. (I did like her hair that way) Brooke and David A. were just ok. Bottom 2 = Jason and Brooke

The more I hear David A. the less I like his voice. I especially can't stand how it sounds when he talks. It's so deep, low and kind of nasaly, IMO. It's really getting on my nerves and I'm tired of hearing it.

Syesha is boring to me, too, but she doesn't really have a bad voice. She just isn't my cup of tea.

Jason and Brooke aren't great, but they are pleasant and have that likability factor going for them. I'd like to see them both try to do something different, but I have a feeling it wouldn't work.

David C., what I can I say. I guess I'll steal Simon's "brilliant".

Jason was just awful last night. It seems like he's not even trying.
