2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 3 - Krasnoyarsk

So what are your guys' opinions, can Khromykh gain a good form? The comments I'm seeing make me realize a lot of fundamental problems she has that may be much harder to fix than I originally thought.

I would love to see a girl recover from an injury like that, but I wonder if she has the mental left to keep going given everything shes already went through.
I think Khromykh and Daria both had unfortunate timing and trajectory. Frolova was able to recover and look better than ever, but she seems to be the exception, not the rule.

I'm continuing untroducing less-known ice dancers.

Ekaterina Khrabrykh/Miron Suslov represent Kirov. They teamed up and moved up to seniors three years ago. Their coach Irina Fedorovykh is the first coach of Oksana Domnina. They took part in the Russian Cup Final 2020/21. They took part in Ice Age kids with their former partners. She is reusing her latina dress.

felichita      welcome to my grandma retirement party (i'm loving your love for retro italy, russian friends!)

They had a lot of problems with preparation last season due to his injury and her health issues so that she didn't have medical permission to skate. Sadly, it didn't became better. I wonder why they just didn't send reigning Kirov champions who looked much more ready.

I recommend watching their latina RD, it was very good

Varvara Kurnosenko and Fedor Varlamov are having their first senior season. They are coached by Zhulin. They were 11th at last junior nationals. They had several smaller competitions this season including Panin Memorial where they won silver medals. Fedor competed at junior worlds for Kazakhstan.

No, she never had good stability with her quad 2-3 years ago. Now she doesn't seem to have it with triples (has been falling on them in shows for a while).

Still, I hope I'm wrong. She looks great on the ice. There was a rumour last season about her skating for Italy she would very competitive in world GP events with stable triples.

not too bad for the level they're at. sadly the music overwelmed them on top of the mistakes. kudos for skating to my second favourite Bon Jovi song  (and i wasn't singing along...or was i... )

Daria Lunina/Andrei Akulov represent Ekaterinburg. They are the youngest ice dancers here. This is their first senior season. Last season they were 3rd at Ekaterinburg junior championships.

Polina Usova and Mikhail Antonov teamed up and moved up to seniors last season. They won bronze medals at one of their RGP stages last season. They took 9th place at senior nationals and 7th at the RGP final. Polina's former partner is Egor Goncharov.
