2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 4 - Kazan

You can use Canadian VPN, I also see lots of people use Netherlands (they're probably EU).

To navigate, all you need to know:

короткая программа = short program
произвольная программа = free skate
показать еще = show more

It might be a bit annoying to navigate but easily doable. You just click the part at the top to choose either short or free program based on the translations I provided, then you can keep scrolling down and click the show more button when needed (with the translation I gave, and it should be obvious which button that is anyways) and you will find the full replays of the events. It will take a bit of scrolling since as you will obviously see there is also every individual performance uploaded in order between the full event replays (thankfully its not random so you can watch them all that way if you want). But, dont worry, its not too much and everything else should be obvious from thumbnails and length of the videos. Hope this helps.

oh ok, I looked at that page before, but I had to click "show more" A LOT to get to the correct events and the events are sliced into individual skates. I was looking for one big long replay of the entire ladies event.

Thanks!

I am SUPER nervous for Talalaikina here.

She needs to finish 5th or better to get to Nationals. She won't be able to beat Valieva/Gorbacheva/Muravieva/Sadkova. So 5th is what she can hope for even if she's super clean.
Then we have the other S:t Petersburgers Ovchinnikova and Sviridenko? What can they do? Kozyreva/Kshetskaya/Gubasheva might be good too.

Very tough field for Maria.
That will be difficult indeed.. she would have better chance in one of the earlier stages, I'm afraid...

While Junior pairs are getting ready for their FS, builders in the background are happily working away... I'm sure they're making some noise as well....

Okay, Julia and Ilya are in their first season, but I'm sure they'll build on the skills they have already and up the ante as they go along. In terms of technical skills. The music is great for them and they've got performance skills.

Well, that was a nightmare skate. At least they did the last lift well.
They are laughing, good thing if they find it more funny that anything else.

She seemed to be injured on that throw. She grabbed her side.

I watched one competition where recreational skaters were skating around the outside of the rink during the competition. Looked like a cool rink though. They had a barrier inside the rink for the competition.

She looks incredibly tiny, is it just in comparison to him? What's the age difference?

We just have a fondness for Italian music from the 80's, maybe even in an international competition setting we'd see a few programs with this kind of music... but that's just a guess.

Ivan unfortunately suffered a leg injury, details are unknown.

Yes, Kolomenskaya-Frolov wins 0,5 point from Shcherbakova-Goncharov and wins the rhythm dance.
Yeah, brought me back to happy childhood years. I am catching up rn. And I totally support Kolomenskaya/Frolov winning rhythm dance with Felicita. Nah, nothing Italian in JGP or GP so far from what I had seen/remember.

Argh, no frees on YouTube so far. I am home though today, so will hook the laptop up, for seniors as well.
