2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 6 - Moscow

Being an AOP supporter is hard. These girls get so nervous.
I said last year that they need a sport psychologist. The difference between them and Khrustalny's kids is that the best skaters from that school deliver when it matters the most while AOP's kids always have to make some mistakes. The talent pool is the same.

Kamila and Maxim Trankov made a bet.

If lands a clean quad toe in the free tomorrow, she will also have to do that choreo sliding.
I hope she does it because I though its good as long as its done correctly. She just fell last time.

Off topic, but how long before Plushenko's kid can compete in novice? I actually feel sorry for him as the pressure will be crazy.
I get the impression that he has no desire to compete, and that is probably for the best. His talent is a bit...limited. He enjoys the shows I think, and Plushy seems fine with that. I'll never forget that someone asked Tarasova if he was going to be 'like his dad', and she pulled no punches, said, no, I don't see anything yet. lol. Tarasova is nothing if not honest.

Actually, you're right. Nothing will ever be as bad as Sochi... Nothing... :drama::laugh2:
I believe that in the near future we should expect a master class on how to properly hold the Olympic Games from a country that is known for its high standards of organizing sporting events. Especially the Euro *sarcasm*

Hey, comrade, did you salute the young wine from the barrels today? I hope you're okay!
no, the wine fest is over, now we're training for festive food marathon next month...in Italy Holydays are a big deal especially for our digestive system  when we celebrate something we do through food, and not just any food, more than our fair share of food. the holydays food marathon starts December 24th and end January 6th  (some have an early extra stage on December 8th)

I'm waiting for the appearance of Kostornaya and Kunitsa. By the way, I got their photos, I can send them to those who want to join the game of exchanging Christmas cards

We have the same happening from December 31 to January 9 (adjusted for the Gregorian calendar and Orthodox Christmas)

my aunt to my mom the other Sunday: what to we cook for Christmas?

me: Aunt! it's November!

my aunt: better be ready...

i'm scared comrade...i'm scared

Pairs is my favorite discipline (go figure) and the international field is just dismal without the Russians. Savchenko has reunited with Szolkowy to do shows, but the clips of her throw jumps show they could compete and win even with Robin being less than competition ready and that's just sad.

This is a stellar pair skating line up this weekend.

I am a little bit disappointed at Sofia Muravieva, she fell at 3A, hope for her to work well in FP.
Men short is better than women short, Matvey VETLUGIN skated so good!
