Damn, their SBS jumps are so good. It's interesting that most pairs even on the highest level struggle with SBS jumps, but G/GP here seems to have SBS jumps as their strongest element. Love the choreo sequence in the end too

I think current juniors and fresh out of juniors pairs in general have better jumping abilities. the focus on that is suiting them... and that would explain why the "veteran" teams are less at ease with them.

imo Laurin/Ethier had the best performance of all disciplines at canadian nationals, hopefully they replicate that here

thinking that they were only 5th or so in Canada in September... and now 3rd team, skating so well at 4CC. bravo !

These two were also my very favorite part of Canadian Nationals.

The best they've done internationally this season, I think, though not quite the slam dunk that they had at nationals.
This team now needs to take that next step and work on polish and have more sophisticated programs.

I am disturbed so many of these teams doing intentional doubles aren't at least trying a double axel, but only double sals or double loops

Thinking about how people tend to go for jumps that are so poorly synchronized, I just had the idea that maybe the ISU could double the amount of GOE for pairs side by side jumps, to encourage quality in those elements. Since there are two people doing it, I think it makes the execution twice as difficult. Would you guys mind watching perfectly executed jumps that are lesser in base value for pairs?

I heard Columbus gave away unsold tickets. Not sure if there is any truth to that.

It's pretty standard these days, and even there and Euros the upper tiers were not as full when photos came out. The real test will be Worlds.
