I really respect Yuna Aoki because she made me love a La La Land program lol. What a program that was! And I think that Lutz–loop combo was one of the best she has ever done. Clearly the winner with two clean programs and the best performance of the competition. She was underscored, though. What a late bloomer of a skater she has been. I hope she continues for the next cycle.

I'm a bit disappointed that Bradie is not on the podium. It seems that her jumps are more critically assessed than others. Her spins are magnificent-so centered and fast. They deserve more love. I hope she hangs in there next year and continues to find music and choreography that match her talents.

Yuna's program was perfect. It made me remember why I fell in love with figure skating and what I've missed in recent years. Honestly I think her musicality is the best since Yuna () Kim.

Honestly, I expected more from this competition. I don't think it's entirely the athletes' fault; the judges and panel were overly harsh. Ami skates a much better short than the GPF and still stopped at 73. A huge disappointment, Jia. But she managed to get a technical 72 with a fall. I hope she enters her Junior World Championships era at the Olympics and manages to post her personal best score. This includes decent PCSs and not that disgusting 59, which is objectively a robbery.
In the end, Yuna was the best. A fantastic international debut, it's a lost she couldn't go at the World Championships.

OMG they're getting a mini cartoon of themselves as the official gift??? So cute!!!

They gave them to the Dance medalists, too. Emilea couldn't stop holding hers and Vadym's up to show the audience!

I wondered, did the cartoonist do them for everyone, or the final 2 groups? Else they wouldn't know whose to finish. I guess they do work fast, though.

Watching these women's skates (I managed the last 2 flights) took me back.

It took me back to a time when we -- television audiences, etc., arena audiences -- could know who the winner would and should and could be -- because she was the complete package. Yuna Aoki's artistry and interpretation were (kisses fingers, throws the kisses out to all) just perfect: delicate, danceable, happy.

And she skated clean. That makes such a difference to us figure skating lovers. I don't care how many people tell me that risk should take precedence over lovely skating that transmits FEELINGS from the skater(s) to the audience.

I finally managed to catch up to this Free Skate, and now am crying and smilling in a hotel room, cause YUNA IS A GOLD MEDALIST
Honestly, if the price of this is a sad score in my predictions, I will pay double
I would get it if she wants to retire on the pinacle of her career, would be the first you know, but I am hoping she continues(...hopefully the whole next quad)

I'm happy for Yuna Aoki, but I wonder if Rinka Watanabe would have been here if she would have make the same thing and win the 4CC.
The japanese federation make everything to not send Rinka Watanabe here, but it's kind of funny that the one who not go to the Olympic win ! I'm liking this. Bravo Yuna

I am so happy for Yuna Aoki. The judges finally gave her the PCS she deserves and her jumps here were easily the best I've seen from her. Her La La Land is by far my favourite program of this season, fantastic choreo and she demonstrates her marvelous musicality throughout it. I am still shocked she got 4 PCS more than a cleanish Mone, I thought it would be the other way around as it usually has been over the last few years. Hopefully Yuna decides to stay around a few more years.

Good fight from Ami after the fall on the 3A, I thought she'd win.

A bit sad that Bradie couldn't get a medal.
