I just caught up!! I just finished watching the women’s free skate
I’m so happy for Yuna!! She is the Satoko of this era and I’m so glad she was able to do even better here, than what she did at Nationals.
I hope she realizes she is a gem and continues skating!! Love the loop combo and Euler flip and beautiful artistry
Also, good performance from Ami Nakai. I think she earned the second Teams slot over Mone. She handles tight situations better.
Mone…. She is too nervous of a skater when the pressure is on. Maybe, heading as Japans third best female skater to the Olympics will put less pressure on her, and she will shine as an underdog

4th place behind the Japanese is an amazing accomplishment
I was sad for Gabby. She skated way worse here than at Nationals. Still, a 183 score is a SB. She has locked down a Skate Canada spot for next season, if she continues. My advice, leave out that 3Lz 3T. You don’t need it!!

She was robbed though…. She should have placed in the top ten, despite the popped flip. Her triples are so clean and high. She deserves +1 GOE higher from the judges on most of these jumping elements. Still, a 177 score is better than her 170+ skates at Challenge and Nationals. Love her so much!! She should work on her PCS more and please change her layout and stop having her go for that flip so late in the program.
SMD - Nice try!! She needs to focus more on the other triples. I was nervous seeing her jump so low. She has so much power on the 3A compared to the rest of her triples

The Starlink gods smiled on my ship today and I could talk with my lover using FB messenger and watch the ladies FS. Happy for all. Haein can hold her head up high. Would have loved to seen all 3 Japanese ladies in their team Jackets hugging outside the K and C. I hope Yuna stays just one more year but there is life after skating to consider...best to go out with a gold medal in your hand.

Wow... Yuna did two clean skates,won competition and i wasn't there watching live... Disgrace.Finally we could see best chore skater in peak performance.Beatiful time.
Ami did well too.That 3A will be super needed for Olympics but she made good performance to gain confidence.
Mone is in deeeeep circle of making at least one mistake in every program which can't happen in two weeks.It was about getting some confidence back, but ending with 202 points is really not helping.Doubt she will make anything big at Olympics.
Jia is not even possible to comment.Outside of Nationals there is really nothing promising from her.

the panel was terribly strict look at Haein Lee, he would have given her all the possible q , < and !I'm happy for Yuna Aoki, but I wonder if Rinka Watanabe would have been here if she would have make the same thing and win the 4CC.
The japanese federation make everything to not send Rinka Watanabe here, but it's kind of funny that the one who not go to the Olympic win ! I'm liking this. Bravo Yuna
