Yuzuru Hanyu

But ankle and owner refuse to stop, and still produce wonders.
Wonders indeed!
In this part of the Carmina Burana program which you posted earlier, the character is struggling against fate, and becomes unable to move; to illustrate this feeling, Yuzuru Hanyu does crossovers. Just crossovers, not ugly ones like someone I won't name, but still laborious, like all other skaters do to gain speed in their programs. Yuzuru Hanyu doesn't need that sort of crossover anymore (his Rondo program has only 6 of them, not very visible, and as many crossunders I think), he uses them here just for this special meaning of feeling stuck and unable to act!

To the opposite, in the end he crosses the rink towards Mao Daichi at an insane speed, without looking like a speed skater, with a few studied steps that just look natural, in fact it looks like magic, of course absolutely nobody can do that:

These are just two particularly striking "details" but his programs are just like a treasure box, you start watching them and you're dazzled by the gold and gems.

The way he flies towards her at the end is pure magic, yes.:love2::love:

The audience for today's NS rehearsal is bigger than most competitions. Really. It's amazing. (please let it be uploaded...)

And I have so missed Yuzuru in UA. I know I grumble elsewhere about male skaters in boring black, but if they looked and moved like Yuzu there would be no complaints nonono.....

To move away from Notte Stellata for a tiny sec, while we are in between Day 2 and Day 3, Part 9 of Yuzuru's interview with Itoi-san is out. Talking about the tension point between expressing what you want to express and creating something that will resonate with other people and become a hit, while bringing up Picasso, Mozart, Paul McCartney and a Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanigawa, among others. Enjoy!

It is supposed that the lower rows were blocked for safety reasons for this rehearsal, but I got the impression that all the seats allowed were full? And it wasn't cheap, if I remember correctly? For a 50 minutes rehearsal (it was 1,800¥ to watch it on Hulu, which isn't cheap either).
I wonder if many people wished to be there but it was sold out?

I believe that highlighting the immense show possibilities of ice (where some shows seem to aim to show ice as an encumbrance), because nothing such could be achieved off-ice for real (of course special effects could give a similar impression, but maybe not the same), is one (among many) of his ways of supporting Figure Skating.
