And the Chinese stream for Day 3 reached 341,000! (Imagine what could be done if a future show is approved with time for publicity). And that is just that one, I'd love to know what the stream in Japan reached. I wonder if all the skaters knew they were reaching such a huge audience. Apart from the Olympics, this has to be a figure skating record. So Notte Stellata Day 3 is behind us and so is the show! Truly great and wildly successful! Good to see more and more TVs getting behind Yuzu and on his bandwagon, and China allowing for an official last minute live stream was a real breakthrough
It's not surprising then, that the crowd outside looked like the attendance of a sold out show:5000 people attended the rehearsal alone, the most they could fit.
The new programs were definitely wonderful. I hope Danny Boy gets added to the reportoire (Carmina Burana may not be practical, like the Firebird from GIFT).
There was a report on Shanghai TV! Making it official that there were 342,000 people who paid to view Notte Stellata 2024 Day 3 on Douyin (the Chinese TikTok), and the report was subtitled:

It's especially amazing because Yuzu is Japanese, the countries have history and the governments are fractious towards each other, but someone in authority still gave it the nod.I believe that the thousands of Cfanyus who queue to visit Yuzuru Hanyu's boots when they are exhibited in a SEKKISEI shop, do it in the hope of showing that there's a public for a show in their city, rather than to see his boots. This is another proofAnd again, this was only approved last thing so of Douyin can get permission for a future show far enough in advance to get it advertised...It's especially amazing because Yuzu is Japanese, the countries have history and the governments are fractious towards each other, but someone in authority still gave it the nod.
I think that's a good point. I know from my interest in some Chinese TV fantasy-drama that the authorities are very very strict over all forms of entertainment, the TV producers have so many restrictions and guidelines to work through it's sometimes amazing they get anything done at all! But Yuzuru is respectful of every country and everyone and has been involved in some of the official rapprochement events.I believe that the thousands of Cfanyus who queue to visit Yuzuru Hanyu's boots when they are exhibited in a SEKKISEI shop, do it in the hope of showing that there's a public for a show in their city, rather than to see his boots. This is another proof
Chinese government is particularly cautious about live shows, because there could be something shocking... or something said that they don't like, so I'm more surprised that there has been an authorisation at all, than that it was so short before Day 2 and Day 3. I suppose that the Day 1 show has been scrutinised in detail, and it has been so in a very short time.
Yuzuru Hanyu has always been respectful of China and I suppose that it is noticed?
It's already March 11th in Japan, the 13th anniversary of the Great Estern Earthquake and Tsunami.
Here's Yuzuru Hanyu's message:
