It's 30 June and New Year's Eve for skating fans in Japan.

I will miss Shoma so much when I see new season's GPs and Championships without him.
It must be good time to remember Shoma's career as a competitive skater.
I just found this on Shoma fan fest.
So difficult to answer.
1) Your favorite performance of Shoma
I want to try answering this one by one, after the end of Shoma's competitive career. Thank you
@jerrymouse333 for posting it again!
(1) My Favorite Performance of Shoma
Wow this is very hard, lol. I'll try to keep it to the last 12 (twelve) months and.... well, it's obviously NHK Trophy 2023 FS, which was Timelapse and Spiegel im Spiegel.
There are a lot of memories (good and bad) attached to this program, but I remember how in awe I am that Shoma managed to make the program work in competition, under the bright lights. The NHK audience also helped in creating that profound moment of silence throughout his program. This FS is so hard to perform. The music selection and the way it's cut is not exciting at all, lol. It builds in the first half only to kill all momentum in the second half. It's very punishing to any flaw in anyone's skating. One cannot be too smooth and also cannot be too rough, cannot be too slow and also cannot be too fast. It's just very hard and complicated to do, in the most quiet way. Just like Shoma's career.
And yet he managed to skate like that. Even the popped quad, and how he recovered it at the very end. To me this was the final statement of who Shoma really is as a competitor. He is calm and calculating, he knows how to push himself physically, and yet he is also a natural artist who was able to skate like that because of the love he has inside him for the people he loves. Knowing that he skated that to cheer Stephane up was really one of the most touching moment in Shoma's career to me. He can skate like that not just because he wants the gold, the medals and the scores, but above all, he just wants to make someone that he truly loves happy.
I think that's what makes Shoma so irreplaceable for me. Like there are so many more talented skaters, so much better than him at jumping, at doing transitions, at doing compulsory. But no one skates the way he does. And the reason he skates the way he does is because of who he is as a person. If he had similar ambitions as other skaters, he wouldn't be able to skate like that. So yeah, I have a lot of feelings about this performance and it will probably remain one of my favorites when I look back.
Honorable Mentions: All performances of his 2023/2024 SP but especially the first one I watched which was his SP at The Ice Nikko, Come Together at GPF 2023, Bolero at SOI 2024, and Ladies in Lavender at PIW May 2024. And of course the DOMO he skated in PIW January 2024 - because I watched it live! Hehehehe.
