Trusova never fails to amaze with her spirited attitude and will to compete, and I just hope it's not going to be like Gracie Gold's fiasco come-back. That's said, Test Skates is a great venue for her to see if she wants to fight for the second leg of an athletic career.

Is there any information when the ISU will decide whether Russia's skaters will be allowed to compete again? Or has the exclusion already been fixed for this season? Sorry if I missed the info.
Apparently ISU will only be deciding this issue at a congress in September. This issue was not officially discussed during the June conference.

Much as I would love to see it, it seems that she and Makar are making the rounds on the publicity/awards/ circuit and I don't know how much time they have actually spent training. One rumor is that there is a 'reality' type show being planned around Trusova and Makar, including their wedding on the 17th etc. (Okay, I gotta be honest, I would love to watch the wedding)

Summer Challenge by Channel One

Channel One came to the training camp of Sokolovskaia and Rukavitsin.

They had invited several skaters who had to draw lots for random music and make an exhibition for it in two days.

Of women, Anna Frolova and Elizaveta Kulikova took part.

Drawing

Kulikova (practice)
Kulikova (actual exhibition)

Frolova (practice)
Frolova (actual exhibition)

If anyone has a VK account, there's a voting for the best program (lasts one day)

Sasha and Makar?? I didn't know that. I feared Maria T was dating him last season...

In all honestly, I was not really expecting this to happen, but wow! Kudos to her!
I think she hit 4Lz a couple times since her break.

I'm not surprised with the fact she landed it but I am impressed with how clean it is.

If she jumps a 3A like she has supposedly been working on I will be extremely impressed though.

The 3A is a total wildcard honestly. She first attempted it in competition almost five years ago (2019/20 GPF). Since then, she’s been doing it semi-constantly and still hasn’t landed one cleanly in competition.

It's a 4Lz with a q at the very least and Trusova does well to stay on her feet and make it look clean. That is a borderline underrotation but she held on. I think 4/5 times in competition she falls on that attempt.

There's no way she's landing a 3A let alone with any consistency.

Trusova makes the season more interesting but I don't think she skates this is just for the show.

Still, a good season ahead with Zhilina and Akatieva back. Other girls will have improved. If the judging is honest (which it won't), a clean Trusova won't be in the top 3.

She actually first attempted a 3A 3 (!) years earlier as a Novice skater, before even joining Team Tut - Which does not make the situation any better 😅

Trusova loves jumping. If she is actually ready to skate full programs, we'll see it during the season. With all the shows and growing up, I am curious to see how she changes her delivery.

Upon review it was a q, but nowhere near a UR.

The stability of the landing was extremely impressive in any case.

Who else landed a 4Lz at all last season?

She could land top 3 even without a 3A as long as she picks good music and demonstrates good PCS, something she is absolutely capable of but doesnt always show for some reason. Not that she would be a favourite, but she should beat any of the non-ultra-c girls. She could be at Muravieva's heels though still also at her mercy.

I dont think its for show at all. I would be surprised if she doesnt do test skates at least.

The season is interesting in any case. Akateva alone makes it interesting. If the season was only Akateva and Petrosian I'd still watch.

Tutberidze's team is gradually posting videos of new programs (you can see in the Tim Tutberidze thread) and revealing the free skating music of their sportsmen.

Margarita Bazyliuk: Carmina Burana- Carl Orff - Orchester der Deutschen Oper Berlin. Hans Zimmer & Joshua Bell - 503 ost Angels & Demons.

Alisa Dvoeglazova: Édith Piaf - Sous le ciel de Paris. Édith Piaf - Milord.

Alyona Prinyova: Samuel Kim - Moonlight sonata Epic version
