Hello everyone!
Wow this is a super thread, so many original ideas:love2: But I agree with ana, it's too difficult because you have such an enormous spin of possible program musics in your brain when you have to decide what music you would skate to! But that's good since there has been a nice exchange of ideas, opinions and smiles so far in this thread, and I love things like that:)
Well, I will list some of my new musical passions as seen by view of the possible using in f. skating:
- I always loved so much Zhenya's interpretations.. so when I heard this music, I thought it was like her skating style. It's from the Polish movie "Tredowata", music by Wojciech Kilar. It is good for an extract I think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK_pgxunwpY
- This is also from the same movie, I find this music very inspirational (I can't find a better sound, sorry..) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfnyVh7qbPA&t=7s
- this is too long for a program, but some extract of it would be nice I guess! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s35ogkLisws
- Also, I'd love to skate to other kind of music, "Peace in the family" or "Man on the middle cross" for example, by Rhett Walker. Personally, I really love these kind of music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDvOyeHQVyA ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce5vYpRpK9U&list=PL6TTtGwikY6Q7-WEQ11Ufp-q7SJ56aCUe&index=2
- and I can't forget "An American Trilogy" by Elvis, maybe for a gala !! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FT3SmZ_zx0
But, I have no ideas of who could be my choreographers:rolleye:

Kilar is amazing 🤩 … Love Remembered, My Life Before Me from Portrait of a Lady, the entire film score of the Ninth Gate!🩵

We have the same passion!😀 I love these musics too! Kilar should be considered really a great composer world wide and be included in many more repertoires! He creates unique atmospheres not so common in other composers of his time

I probably would want to be completely original and cray cray...

So here is my SP music, percussive, minimalist, rhythmic fest

For the LP, I would choose something with nice lyrical lines

I don't think anyone has done les Chants d'Auvergne... I'd stay away from the greatest hit (Bailero) and probably would pick

La delaissado

If my coach thought it was crazy to go for a slow piece the whole time, it's okay.... these pieces are well written with nice musical interludes so I could combine a couple of them together... to have a faster piece in there.

I hope this is daring enough and not too warshorsey :)

I really believe that anything can be skating music, if you know how to do it ;) So I am not worried.

For Choreos :

Can I have Joey Russel for the short and Jeff Buttle for the long ? :) But I would also be happy working with Carol Lane, Bourne or Patrick if he wanted to bother with me :)

with those music choices you would be abducted by Benoit in no time
I always knew it: You too love the smell of napalm in the morning!

Hi E, hope you're having a wonderful (and possibly very hot) summer! :love2:
it smells like victory :ROFLMAO:

sadly my summer is very hot, but not the way i think you mean it :ROFLMAO:

I'd hire Lori Nichol and let her select the music for both programs (along with her incredibly gorgeous choreography, with some input by Pasquale Camerlengo).
