why would "the chinese" have some sort of vendetta against Lindsay? Even if there was some under- the- table things or controversies in the dutch federation, why would "the chinese" specifically care?
I sense that there are some elements I'm not aware of, and without being too obnoxious, would like to acknowledge Lindsay's accomplishments in Stockholm 2021 and the Beijing Olympics, I was personally invested in her and loved to watch her perform. After such a complex and traumatic Olympics for the sport, I just saw that she really struggled to reboot, as a growing teen- woman, national pressure, chasing that triple triple.. we saw similar things before (Maddy Schizas comes to mind, Alexandra Feigin..) I'm not disregarding any claims but her experience and decisions could be more nuanced and multifaceted. It was sad seeing her compete last season and I wish her the best (and perhaps a comeback later on!)
As for Niki, I think I saw her last compete the Challenge Cup 2022... I remember myself being really scared for her on the triples and with the technique, checked skatingscores to confirm... bottom line is I can't be rationally optimistic for this comeback, it's not an Alysa Liu situation where she can squeeze a triple out of thin air, but you never know with the women's field as it is where she could end up qualifying, I'll keep my fingers crossed!
I don't know where this ramble came from

I just wanted to dissect and rationalize this weird black- and- white narrative insinuated in this thread that Lindsay is the villain and Niki is the returning heroine
