A very standard Phantom, with nothing to write home about. Boo, Bring back Dracula, which was awesome.

They had my hopes up after yesterday, after managing to bring some full-throttle crazed new life into Moulin Rouge, but my hopes were dashed, as this was same-old, same-old
i think they're trying to play safe to overtake Sara and Niccolò

This is a completely unique music choice for them, and I'm so glad to see them venturing out into new program territory. As the program went on, I could see them settling more into the choreography and performance. While I'm not fully enamored with either program, I could see these being really strong once they have more mileage. Aside from the scary lift fall, this was a solid first outing for them.

The Japanese team is skating to ambitious music that they can't interpret and difficult, intricate technical moves that make them fall. Odd choices--may be they will pay off later in the season?
