how do we name korean cacti?

The Korean word for cactus is 선인장 (sun-in-jang), but actually there's a separate Korean term for cacti: 사약, which refers to the bowl of poison that was given to those of noble birth who received the death penalty from the king. Since it was a "mercy" from the king (your body was kept intact) the condemned had to bow towards the palace's direction and "willingly" take the bowl, hence the term being used for something you willingly do that gives you pain
