I wasn't expecting that level so soon. Definitely better than last year Mark.

Agree. He has improved his landings, jump flow etc. Only the axel is a bit meh.

I don't get why attempts the flip with terrible edge. It's always called. He could break 200 with a normal triple.

That was an impressive jump display by Mark. And he looks very proud and happy with it, which is the important thing

But, as with Zhenya, tech sort of ended up getting in the way of everything else. I didn't feel much from the program, which is not the norm from Mark.

Nerves hit the youngster. Learning experience. I know all these skaters are watching Malinin and if they learn one thing from him, it's to be able to set aside nerves and be a stone-cold competitor.

Ugozhaev had very strong early comps. This is a disaster debut for him considering what everyone was expecting from him.
