2024 Grand Prix de France Men's Free Skate

What a disaster of a men's competition compared to the last two weeks. As I thought, the best FS score of this final group was 153-ish. Good for Adam for keeping his GPF chances, but I wasn't overly impressed with anyone here. The highlight of the night was a 3A-4T within a program that had not much else to write home about. Best performance was Nikolaj followed by Torgashev for me.

Boyang...🥺🫶
I was so hopeful...

Ngl, after Adams FS I thought he was cooked and off the podium
I was certain at least one of the guys in Group 2 was going to score 166+...but no 😞

...though I do think the judges and possibly TP hampered Andrew and Shaidorav's scores

Who had Shimada Koshiro silver medalist on their predictions? If you exist, please lend me your crystal ball I need to see how AWG will turn out
i like Koshiro, i really do, but he had better skates than this and did deserved to medal in several other occasions, and i would'nt have nothing to say if he skated cleanly, but this time...well let's just say the scoring was questionable

Singles gave me so much pain, hopefully I get to recover with the partnered disciplines... I ate all my pave chocolate already I do not have any more emergency cures

My love for Andrew is evident and long standing.

But I have a soft spot for Boyang and his passion for skating. I'm sorry he couldn't pull off that skate.
Same. I'm really starting to root for Boyang. I said out loud about half way through - "Oh, SMILING Boyang!" I love how hard he's working. He's no Jason, but I bet training with Jason is really helping. I love how encouraging Brian seems.

I've only been casting half an eye towards GP France, as I've been occupied with various other things.

But every video and recap I see makes me content that I didn't invest hours and hours into this entire competition. It looks like a dud.

adam : he is simply preparing as he is a bit behind with the injury he had before... so all of this first half of the season is preparation

I'm glad we have a bit of a break before the next events.
I know I need one.
