Kazuki! You pulled in for a 3T! I'm so proud of you! What a great program, and an unexpected leader after the short! depends on the spin calls, I think FujiTV just had an error but two of his spins were hanging on for dear life and when Yuma's getting 1.4 GOE on his spins, these are the type of errors that prevent you from winning the short. Regardless, this was a SP of Kazuki's life - he took advantage of a messy field!

the top seniors are currently 1st and the top juniors are currently 2nd for both men's and women's category

Love Takumi Sugiyama's skating- a bit slow in speed but just gorgeous everything. I'm sure Daisuke Takahashi has scouted him for Kassouya, if not, then he definitely should book him now.

I wish! Takumi was one of my favourites among the junior guys at senior Nationals! Dai should absolutely invite him (Sena Takahashi and Taiga Nishino or Shun Uemura (depending on who of the latter two gets to go to Junior Worlds) would be great additions too, but might be unrealistic as Kassouya takes place right after Junior Worlds). Currently the ensemble-crew for Kassouya consists of Kosho Oshima, Yuto Kishina, Kazuki Kushida, Shunya Matsuoka, Maria Egawa, Moa Iwano, Yurina Okuno, Keisuke Kadowaki, Haruya Sasaki, Ryota Kitamura, Ryusei Kikuchi, Tsujkasa Yajima, Haruto Toda, Masamune Okubo and Ibuki Onaka.

Edit: I just realized that Takumi is a senior skater. Sorry, my bad. Anyhow, that doesn't change the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed his skating!

Kosho is a delight as always, so is his father.

Two fun facts re. Kosho:

The music for Kosho's flamenco-disco-bonanza SP was chosen by Daisuke (source: https://www.fnn.jp/articles/-/803759?page=4) and the program was of course choreographed by Kana, so it would be cool if he gets to perform it at Kassouya (probably depending on whether or not Dai performs his own flamenco program again)!

Kosho's FS music choice of "Desperado" is a tribute to his father, from whom he inherited his entertainer-spirit and who skated to the music in his final performance as a professional skater.

OT but "you look like a psychedelic mushroom in sitspins" is one hell of a metaphor that instantly made me remember mushroom hunting in Cowboy Bebop
