Oh, noooooo . I love both of Ellie and Danny's programs, they are so strong both musically and choreographically. They have so many unique transitions and movements throughout this program, and I think this music really helps them connect with each other and perform. The technical elements tonight were so messy though, and while they will earn high GOE on their other elements, losing that SBS combo will really hurt their BV. Quality-wise, this team is the cream of the crop, but this just wasn't their best skate, and that last lift fall cemented this into a disaster. Good on Danny for keeping Ellie safe, and reassuring her after a tough skate.

Just before Danny and Ellie started skating, I knew they were both going to fall. But I had no idea how many falls, and how bad they'd be.

My goodness. They were both off. But, they are still going to Worlds. The quality of their programs, basic skating, and pair elements is just too good and too appreciated by the international judges to be left home.

At least the teams in 3-5 entering the free skate were very good. The last two skates were hard.
