2025 World Junior Championships Pairs SP

I am checking the swiss closely... as a Canadian fan, considering how our teams underperformed last year, i am wishful thinking but with the georgians back and the super strong chinese team, there is only one spot left on the podium... and i fear that the swiss will take it... 54 is a pretty big score. In any other circumstance I would cheer but now i fear LOL

go ava and yoni
go jazzy and kiki
and go marly though i am not sure you two are ready to medal after the injuries...
there's still the free, no one but the chinese team is stable and consistent here, so K/E still have good chances

the georgians are stable...

and also, of course there are a few more teams... it really feels like there is just one spot left.

In any case, i am here at 8 am and it's way before my rising time :) i am missing 1-2 hours of sleep

omg... my kombucha tastes so good :) maybe it's because i am still half asleep..

by the way.. i only need to leave at 3:15pm... maybe i can almost watch everything today...

still they have a good chance at bronze, anything anyway can still happen, ice is slippery

Warm-up Observations
  • Sofiia & Artem are such a power pair
  • Laura & Alex are the youngsters of the group but are off to a very nice start
  • Reagan & Jakub knocked off Hansen/Church (who just split) for this spot. I love their attitudes and her guts. She also has a great presence.
  • Polina & Gabriel have such long lines as she is quite tall for a pair girl. But they have great Italian training.

The podium is likely to be mainly (or possibly all) pairs who have been competing senior this season. The Georgians would have to have very poor skates to not win. The remaining podium spots are likely to be between the Ukrainians and Swiss (both have been competing senior) and the Chinese. Desrocher and Thrasher have a slim chance if some of those pairs have poor skates.

I think Yoni and Ava are stronger than Jazzy and Kiki ... but you are correct about the Ukrainians and Swiss...

though the Ukrainians only did a double flip here.... and were lucky to land that 3s throw
