Notte Stellata | Mar 7-9, 2025

Two beautiful photographs of Yuzuru skating Danny Boy from Notte Stellata 2024 have been announced to be published as this year's charity posters of the Great East Japan Earthquake Education, Employment and Health Support Organisation. They have been publishing and distributing Yuzuru posters for charity since 2012! Last time they added new ones was in 2022.
This year's posters will be put out for sales since early July with proceeds going to support funds and variuos charity activities they implement and help to fund, for Tokohu, of course, and - mostly - for Noto,
Noto Peninsula where people suffered both a heavy earthquake and a flood last year has been added as a beneficiary of this recurrent charity action this year only, following Yuzuru's involvement in various support actions there, peaking when he organized The Challenge charity show last September, featuring Akiko Suzuki, Satoko Miyahara and Takahito Mura alongside himself.

Here are this year's posters and the Danny Boy himself
(here skated at the Sendai rink recently, not from the show - but from an official source, Yuzu's own channel ;) )

Great East Japan Earthquake Education, Employment and Health Support Organisation has started accepting orders for this year's charity Notte Stellata posters at their website.
More info in my post linked above.
Shipping will start at mid-July as will the general distribution in selected locations throughout Japan. The list of the locations may be found on their website. Proceeds go mostly to Noto this year to support victims of the earthquake and the flood there, and the reconstruction efforts.

A very interesting article from the PANJ [Performing Arts Network Japan] on the Noh Kyogen theatre tradition interviewing Mansai Nomura and offering a deepened insight into his work, including his collaboration with Yuzu for Notte Stellata, Bolero in particular. A great read, transklates very well in a browser, enjoy!!!

https://performingarts.jpf.go.jp/article/92500/

And here's from the X teaser [machine translation]:
"【#PANJ New Article Released!】Interview with Kyogen Performer Mansai Nomura
Bolero, Shakespeare, Manga... The Ever-Expanding Potential of Noh and Kyogen
As an inheritor of Noh and Kyogen, established in the 15th century, and a director, actor, and dancer creating modern theater, Mansai Nomura views stage arts across a vast timeline from the Middle Ages to the present. He constructs works from all genres—opera, ballet, Shakespeare, manga, and anime—using the methodology of Noh and Kyogen...
.'

Remember how Mansai Nomura invited Yuzuru to two episodes of his Radio Show on NHK 1 back in March/April, and they talked about their collaboration on Notte Stellata 2025 and the way traditional Japanese Noh / Kyogen theatre meets figure skating? Apparently, although it was a radio show, cameras were present anyway, and now NKH TV is to broadcast the summary show on August 21 (postponed from an earlier date due to disastrous rainfalls news coverage ).
For those with access but not speaking Japanese well enough to follow their conversation, translations were linked on the previous page :)

It turned out Nomura's conversation with Yuzuru will be shown on the terrestrial NHK TV channel, here are the links to their online service where it seems it may be watched in real time, no VPN needed:

The discussion between Yuzu and Mansai Nomura can be watched online on NHK Plus until next Thursday, August 28, 02:03 a,m. JST (which means it might be a different date for you depending on the timezone!) though VPN is needed.
If you do not speak Japanese you can use translations linked above or an online speech translator (e.g. Google) on a split/separate screen.

The link and a teaser below, enjoy :)

In NHK Plus Top20 most watched already - and it is just an interview, not the show itself

Watching Notte Stellata 2025 yesterday again was wonderful, It is a great great show but Mansai Nomura-Yuzu collaborations are truly amazing and make it so very special. Yet we should not forget the role played in them both by Shae Lynn who choreographed Seimei for Yuzuru years ago, and the skating part for the NS version of the Mansai Bolero.
Here's from her on her NS collaboration experience:
"It felt like I was able to express my thoughts and feelings about the performance candidly while still showing respect. It truly had the atmosphere of a collaboration where two worlds came together hand in hand, capturing the essence of teamwork."
Big thank you to Shae Lynn for her contribution and the inspiration, and for always, always being there! :love3:

It was a truly amazing collaboration by two icons of their country... and of art.
