And here's from Keiji
Special thanks for the photo from the male power can-can (following the lovely and graceful can-can by the ladies of the show)
... and from Brian Orser himself!
And here's some more from Takahito Mura - beautiful photos from the beautiful group performance
Yes, I didn't get it at first, only Takahito's post made me realize that this is Little Buddha soundtrack music, by Sakamoto of course. I loove the movie so much but it's been several years since I saw it last so I did not recognize it. But wow, now as I have rewatched it on Hulu delayed service, it makes perfect sense !! I made a mental note to watch the movie again when I have some spare timeThe group number was really lovely.
More from Akiko...
So now we can clearly see the difference between can can on ice as done by the ladies (Akiko's pic) and by the guys (Keiji's pic in one of the posts above)
I wonder who he will collaborate with next year... it's probably still too soon to think about it.
I think they could do something like a comedy skating show? The show's core theme is all about moving forward and being optimistic about the future despite the sufferings, internal struggles, and fragility of life, while also remembering the people who have passed on. It wouldn't necessarily stray away from the show's message, but like you said, I don't think they're a likely combination.I wonder if the Sandwichman are somehow candidates? But they're a comic duo, I don't know how they could make a tribute to the Great Earthquake victims?
